I'm glad I went prepared. I was the first one at the door before the embassy opened. After they opened the door I was directed through a security area just inside, asked to empty my pockets, and given a number to retreive my items when I left. I was told to head downstairs and take a seat in a chair by the elevator. After going up in the elevator I was asked to take a seat and wait for my number to be called. I was called to the wicket and was asked how I met my wife, I explained and was then asked to take a seat again. 10 minutes later I was called again, and once again approached the wicket. I was asked how I filed as the file folder they had regarding my case was empty and they did not have any documents. I told them that I filed all documents online, and they stated that I would have to reschedule my interview as they could not locate my paperwork. Luckily I brought all of my original copies, and all of the paperwork I filed and received during the entire process. I notified them that I had everything and was asked to give it to them and take a seat. I was called back 30 minutes later to a different wicket. The woman there returned my originals and some of my paperwork, and then handed me a letter and said congratulations, welcome to the united states of america. I grabbed my welcome letter, headed out of the embassy and called my wife with the great news. All in all it was a quick and easy process, but would recommend that if you file everything online, that you take all of your documents, not just what the interview letter tells you to bring. It could save you from a very disappointing trip.
