After a 12 hour long flight, we waited in the visitors line. The officer checked my passport and visa and told me to wait in the hall. Another officer came and asked my fiance to wait outside, and took me to another room. A couple of people were there, and after 5 minutes of waiting he took me to the famous "interrogation room." He was extremely rude, told me I was ruining my life by getting married and asked me why I waited so long to come to the US. I told him I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my family and he said I shouldn't be doing that, that k1 visas are limited and they come and go (um no?). He said my medical was expired and went to another room and made me think I was going to be denied entry. He came back and said "well I'm in a good mood today so I will let you pass."
It was a terrible experience and I can't remember most of it fortunately!

The line took forever. Make sure you budget time just to wait in line. The only question asked was "Are you M*****?".
And for anyone bringing pets, we had no problems bringing in two cats through customs.

The process a little over 3 hours. I waited in a long line for at least an hour. My passport was checked, then an officer lead me to an office where I sat again for about 45 minutes. I was taken to a desk where I sat in front of an man who went through my sealed envelope. The man was kind of sarcastic. He asked me, "What kind of work are you planning to do? Something like McDonald's?" I told him what my career is and that I plan to continue following that. He asked where my wife and I met. He asked me again, like he didn't understand me the first time, so I repeated myself more clearly.
He asked how many times I met with her in person after we were married. I told him it was one time. He looked at me like I gave him the wrong answer and said, "You met her only one time?" I said, "Yes" and explained when and where. He exclaimed, "You met her only ONE time after you were married?" I said, "YES, one time" and explained again....we got married & were together 4 months, then later we met one time. He asked me again!!! So I slowly began explaining everything from the date of our marriage forward, but he didn't let me finish. He seemed quite aggravated. He left and returned with another officer who asked me, "How many times did you meet with you wife in person after you were married?"....At that point I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I asked what answer they wanted from me other than the truth. The first officer seemed pissed off, but the other one was trying not to laugh. I explained AGAIN! Finally the officer said, "Okay" and stamped my visa in my passport and let me go. I wish my wife could have been with me, but my flight was diverted and my first US airport ended up being Huston instead of Denver International where my wife was waiting for me.

Make sure your connection flight is within 4-5 hours or more after you land. You'll spend a long while in the immigration office, just waiting to get your passport back. They just asked me about the stuff I brought in my luggage. Beer, wine, alfajores and Medialunas. They don't want fresh products like fruits or vegetables. It was not hard. Just a long wait.
