Arriving at DFW airport with my fiancee. Aside from having to wait in line for more than 1.5 hours, the POE itself was pretty painless, no questions asked. I was allowed to go to the non-citizen line with my fiancee. There were lots of international students coming back from their home countries on that day (since schools start next week) and the line was very long. We actually missed our original flight and had to take a later one.

The immigration officer was calm and friendly and only asked some questions regarding my work experience. The whole process went smoothly.

It was a Sunday flight, POE is so easy in Dallas, couldn't believe it. Went to the Grey Visa Area for 'All Other Visas' Was the first in the queue and a gentleman opened up his booth. Took my passport, took details down, took my fingerprints and photo. He then requested to see the package (If anyone is curious, it's just your whole petition including your medical and other documents you provided).

He said don't forget to get married, and I said, no chance, it's all planned for next month!

As it was a Sunday I think, even the customs staff were barely there sooo.... just straight through to Arrivals after Baggage Claim!

Very easy! Was advised to go on a special line (well there was actually no line I was the first one there). Stood there for 5 minutes until and officer arrived and called me to her window. i handed her my package and passport, she looked at it and instructed me to follow her into a different room. Once there I waited for about 10 minutes until I was called to a window and the officer there just handed me back my passport and said welcome to the US enjoy your new life here.

Ok background I left Adelaide South Australia at 8am on 12th April and finally arrived in Dallas FW at around 1pm on 12th April (local time).
I had planned to overnight in Dallas just in case my entry took longer than normal as there is only one further flight out after my normal one and well, i am a planner.....totally didnt need it lol, in fact it took less time than it would have lining up to go through the normal electronic passport control....

As i entered the "hall" after disembarking the plane i had to head all the way down the other end (grey line) to line up to hand over my stuff. There was one other person entering here and 3 immigration officer so i waited maybe 20 seconds. I handed over my passport and yellow envelope and he opened it. He quickly ran through the contents and pulled out the medical stuff, took my fingerprints and then asked me if my fiance was with me. I explained he wasnt, he was waiting for me at the other end and he seemed a little surprised. He basically smiled at me, said "get married within 90 days" and then said "Welcome to the USA" and stamped my application.

Simple!!

I then flew out of Dallas the next morning and that was it
