Experience overall: 7/10.

They are rebuilding the entrance hall at MSP, let me tell you that it is a ************* right now. However, I have to say that it went fairly smooth since the line a K-1 visa holder need to find is all over on the other side (you get what I mean when you step in to the CBP area) with a small sign with the text "new immigrants" - go there! Took us a little over 10 minutes to be called, handed over the envelope and 30 minutes later we were done.

Must have been someone new at CBP because we ended up in second screening and after a small chat everything was fine and my passport had a stamp and I walked through the gates in to my new homeland.

Everything was done in 5 minutes. Very fast and easy. They only asked me when is the wedding(my fiance was with me) and that's it.

She stood in line about 30 minutes. The officer took her packet, asked if she spoke English or Thai. She said English a little bit. He sent her to another officer who spoke Thai. The interview lasted about 5 minutes, and she was on her way. Sounds like an easy experience.

I came in via Minneapolis on my new green card on 12/06. My flight from Amsterdam was delayed so I only had 50 minutes to clear immigration and customs, re-check my luggage and make it to the gate for my connecting flight. It could not have gone any smoother. I got my own line for new immigrants at the immigration counter. I was the only one in line and the officer that processed my new green card was very efficient. She took my finger prints, asked me to sign for my new green card, asked me who my sponsor is and told me that I should receive my green card in the mail within three months until then I can use the visa in my passport when I look for jobs etc. I made it to my connecting flight with no problems.
