I’m pretty satisfied with Seattle office work. I have not seen/met a single mean or rude employee there. Security is fast, check-in very friendly. Second floor gets stuffy with a lot of people waiting, but they don’t keep you waiting for too long. Maybe bring a fruit or snack. Also make sure you are hydrated. Officer was young and friendly, held himself very professional yet welcoming.

Our appointment was at 7:15am but we got there around 645 and we're checked in by 7, surprisingly quite a few people were there already or shortly after. We got called in at 745 and swore in; the officer asked all the "no" questions on the i-485 then asked us about our relationship how we met etc. she was very friendly; it was more like a conversation than an interview, after that she asked for any evidence I had brought. She quickly flipped through everything, said thank you and congratulations you are approved. All in all we were in the room for maybe 10/15 mins

We just returned from a long day at USCIS. She was approved after the interview this morning and she took the oath this afternoon. We decided to do the name change outside USCIS because the interviewer didn’t know how long it would take to finish the change and schedule the oath ceremony. There was one this afternoon so he offered to place her in it if she wanted to postpone the name change, so she did.
We arrived 15 min before her appointment time (the maximum amount you can be early) and checked in and got a waiting number. You then go upstairs to the waiting room until your number is called. She was only in the room about 15-20 minutes before she came out approved. She said they asked her 6 questions for the 100 list and she got all correct. They had her write the answer to a verbal question on paper. (“Name the three branches of the US governmentâ€. She then wrote the answer in a complete sentence “The three branches of the US governm... read complete review

We arrived 45 minutes early, went through security (remove shoes, belt, coats, put all belongings in a tray, walk through the metal detector, then reclaimed items), and checked in. Confusingly, there is a sign that says you cannot check in more than 15 minutes early, despite the notice saying 30 minutes, and us being permitted to check in 45 minutes ahead of time. They gave us a receipt with a letter and a number (just like the DMV). We were told to go to the second floor - there are two sides of the second floor with seating, the side closer to the bathrooms and the american flag is for naturalization/citizenship ceremony, while the other is for those waiting for interviews. There is NO signage anywhere that makes note of this, so we ended up sitting on the wrong side until we noticed that nobody sitting near us had a receipt with a letter/number. There's also no screens/monitors that tell you what number has been called - the workers just come and call out, which can be a bit hard to... read complete review
