Our experience was similar to the other recent reviews for the San Antonio office. The interview was surprisingly low key and short, around 20 mins, plus another 10 mins of chit chat. We arrived about 40 mins early and waited 10 mins before checking in. We ended up getting called in for the interview about 10 or 15 mins before our interview time since we were already there. Unlike most people on the forum, we were adjusting from TN to GC, rather than K1 or K3.
I had felt under-prepared in spite of my two binders worth of documents and 40 photographs, but in the end the officer only asked for and took copies our new house title documents since we'd bought a house since filing the AOS and moved. He spent the time re-verifying the information on the submission and checking them off with a red pen, and asking us clarifying questions along the way. He asked how we met, how long we've known each other, the circumstances of my husband's prior green card (it was through his pare... read complete review

Had both biometrics and AOS interview here. The officer we had for our interview was great. We were able to conduct the interview in Spanish which put my wife in a much better position to fully express herself. Seems to be well organized and sufficiently staffed even for the high amount of traffic.

My husband and I had the I-485 interview at the USCIS office in San Antonio, TX yesterday. The interview was scheduled for 12:45pm. Since we live in Austin, we left home at around 9am, just in order to make sure we would be there on time, and check the location etc, even though it's only a ~90 minute drive. Thankfully the USCIS location is in far north San Antonio, so we didn't really have to go through the city. We arrived at 10:30, found the building, and then headed to a nearby Starbucks to do some work and relax a little bit before the interview. We entered the building at 12:10.
There were two fairly long lines of people waiting to go through security checking (metal detector) after showing the interview letter from USCIS, but they moved fairly quickly, it took as ~10' to get to the check-in counter, where a helpful employee checked us in, gave us a number, and asked us to move to a super crowded waiting room until our number was up for the interview. First impressi... read complete review

Interview was quick and easy.
It was right after hurricane Harvey so we talked about that for a bit then he asked following questions;
How did you two meet?
What is your parents' name?
When is your birthday?
and that was it.
He asked if we wanted to add more documents to the file but also said it was not necessary since we sent so much already, so we gave him a new lease we signed two months before.
The office was very clean and organized.
