Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview lasted 20 minutes. Our lawyer was present - we provided updated proof of relationship, and our ids and passports. The officer asked my husband to answer all of the questions he had answered on the application form (yes/no questions) then asked if our husband/wife was present in the room. Overall it was very easy and concise. He informed us that he was recommending us for approval. We received the noa 3 days later, informing us that my husband’s permanent resident status had been approved.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Building located at several blocks away from the Nicollet Mall light rail station, a lot cheaper than driving & parking in the downtown area. The staff were nice and friendly. Security check is pretty much like what you will have in airport, but no need to take off your shoes. Remember to bring your interview notice with you as that's what they need to see before they let you in. The interview lasted for 10-15 minutes. The offer checked the basic info with us (birthday, current address, previous work experience). A lot of yes/no questions from i-485. She also asked for additional bona-fide evidence. We did not bring photos as we have included a lot in the application package, but we did bring additional financial proof (lease, insurance with both of our names on), as well as our joint tax return documents. We did not get approved on-site because the officer wanted to go over our documents one more time. Our case was approved 4 days after the interview (i-485 case showing 'new card is b... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I had my appointment at 8am August 23rd. I was absolutely freaking out because I somehow misplaced my passport somewhere in our apartment, and could not find it to bring along. I tried calling USCIS to ask if I should try and reschedule, but maybe I didn't have the right patience to figure out how to get to an actual human. The recording just kept telling me to "Ask Emma" lol. I did, she wasn't helpful. So thankfully I had copies of my passport and brought those along, fingers crossed real hard it wouldn't matter too much.

My husband and I arrived around 7:40am at the Minneapolis office on Marquette. Went through security, checked in and received a number, sat down and waited. Right at 8am our number was called and we went in. We were interviewed by Officer Jack, who was super nice and friendly. Definitely made me feel a little less nervous. She asked for our id, including my passport. I nervously told her that I couldn't find it (AND STILL HAVEN'T, WHERE ARE YOU PASSPO... read complete review

This review is actually for the new USCIS facility on Marquette Ave at Minneapolis, MN.

My interview was on 2/20 at 9:45am. I had my husband drop me off because parking is hard to find, unless you are lucky enough to find street parking.

There was a decent line going through security but it moved pretty quickly. You had to show security your appointment letter. Without one, you cannot enter the office. People were allowed to bring family members to wait with them in the lobby, but not to the interviews or to the counter for INFOPASS appointments. There were 5 counters on the right hand side of the lobby.

After security, I checked in at the counter and was given a letter/number. I assume that the different letters denote the purpose of your visit. My number was called right at 9:45am and I was led through a locked door to left of the counters, back to the individual offices for the IOs. My IO was J Suarez. He was very war... read complete review
