Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Extremely short, only about 15 minutes long, chatty and friendly interviewer, and most importantly, approved on the spot!

IO lady was nice. The interview was a breeze. Went in with my wife and took oath before sitting down in the office. Then we proceeded to sit down. Then the IO started firing 5 minutes worth of random questions that were asked from a sheet. And then the rest of the 5 minutes were spent talking about our marriage life. After a short pause, me and my wife got handed a letter saying that I was temporarily approved for permanent residency and my passport got stamped and we were on our way.

Incompetent. ignorant, rude and plain stupid. The clown that did the interview did not even know the right USCIS document numbers or proceduresand had to be shown the instructions on the I-485.

He just kept making copies and asking idiotic questions at best only directed at the US citizen not the person filing for AOS.

The interview was fairly easy. The officer was friendly, but firm. We were asked the terrorist type questions (if you are terrorist or spy, help illegals..), general questions about our relationship (when we met, when we got married...)and our jobs (what do we do for living). The officer asked for proves of joint ownership and we provided. She browsed through them and through our photo albums. At the end we were told that we will receive the welcome letter in mail and the green card after that. I asked for my passport to be stamped if possible (I needed it) and I got my passport stamped.
