Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Finally our journey is almost finished (until ROC) so here goes the review of our interview today:
Our original interview was 3 weeks ago, but it was reescheduled last minute because of a flood (water fountain broke).
We had the interview at 10am in Portland, ME. We got there about 15 min early. After waiting 1,5 hours (we were informed they were understaffed and double booked) we finally were taken into one of the "interview rooms". Our IO was a lady with curly hear, she wasn't wearing a nametag. She seemed a bit harsh and rude at the beginning... we tried to start conversation mentioning the flood, but looked at us and didn't reply. I started freaking out...
She made us raise our hands and swear to tell the truth.
Then she just went through the our file and then only thing that asks us was how/when we met and then requested copies of our originals. She looked at the same pics we originally sent, even thought we had brought new albums with us. We had some r... read complete review

My experience with this office was extremely positive. Everyone was friendly, polite and considerate. I always ended up leaving this office with a big smile plastered on my face. They answered all your questions. The environment itself is calm and uplifting, never very full or exasperating. Wait time is never very long.

We recently had our interview and it was very straight-forward and respectful. I have absolutely no complaints or concerns whatsoever about this office. I think that people who are lucky enough to fall within their catchment should count their blessings.

AOS interview was with DAO of Portland, ME office (PM me for his name). Was quite formalized, DAO seemed a little impatient but not overly so.

Requested proof of ongoing relationship: showed joint bank accounts, joint car insurance, joint rent receipts. I think that was all the information we were required to show? Our bank account has a reasonably large savings component so I think that served as "good" proof.

Said that he was satisifed with our AOS, but FBI name check still pending. As of 10/13/06 we are still waiting for FBI to come through...
