The entire staff was friendly and helpful. By far the best experience I have ever had with immigration to date. Interviewer was very friendly and had a sense of humor, joked around with us a little. The two guys at the front desk where you go through security were also very friendly, I say give them a raise! (Ok...not really...but they did do a great job!)

Ok here goes........

We arrived at the office 45 minutes early and our appt was at 11:00AM. Once we arrived we showed the security officers the appointment letter and once we passed through security they directed us upstairs to the second floor where the conduct the interviews.

Apparently the person scheduled before us cancelled their appointment so our officer called my husband in early...he went in at 10:45AM....so sometimes it does pay off to be a little early.

Anyhow they called my husband in alone to interview him first and I had to wait out in the waiting room. My husband said she asked for both of our employment letters, our paystubs and both of our passports. They did NOT take the I-94, the EAD, did not take our Vaccine Supplement, my paystubs, copies of my tax returns, or many of the other copies of documents we took along. She took copies our our Auto Policy, Health Insurance, Employment Letter, Affidavit of Support.

My husband was asked first for permission to record the interview, then he was sworn in and was asked how we met, when we decided to get married, when did we get married, did our families meet both of us prior to marrying, went through our photo album picture by picture asking who people in the pictures were etc. He was asked where we live, and was asked to give specific descriptions of certain parts of the house where we live. He was asked how many times I had been to Nigeria and the dates I was there.....they asked sooooo, soooo many questions I don't have enough room to write it all.

Then they sent my husband out, had me go into the office, swore me in, told me to have a seat and then basically proceeded to ask me the same questions she had asked him. Of course they threw in a few "trick" questions/statements here and there to see if our stories would match or if I would change my story to match his....(we found this out after the interview of course). For example, my husband had been asked where we attend church and where the church is located.....he told her the church was 30 miles away..........when she interviewed me she indicated he stated the church was about 80 miles away and seemed somewhat confused about the issue...I laughed and told her that "no, it may seem that way sometimes but it is actually only 30 miles away", then she asked why we travel so far to go to church, I told her because it is the nearest Seventh Day Adventist Church to us....which turns out actually matched what my husband REALLY TOLD HER. She also tried to trip me up with the photos....I said something about having pictures together at various church functions.....and mentioned the photo albums sitting on her desk....she then said that she hadn't even looked at the photos-she forgot all about them....when in fact my husband states she had looked at EVERY PICTURE in the albums (three albums by the way) prior to me being interviewed....she had asked him questions about everyone in the pics, where they were taken and when. So...if you are being interviewed seperately...be honest, remain honest and stick to your stories....they try to trip you up on purpose.

Anyhow at the end of my part of the interview she stated she thinks she has everything she needs to process the case, if I don't hear from her....the greencard will arrive in 7-10 days, she stated "no news is good news". She handed me back my passport along with my husband's. No I-551 stamp, and she did not take the EAD or the I-94 record...I was a little confused by this and asked her if she needed them....she stated she didn't.

So I THINK we were approved....I guess we'll know for sure once the GC arrives.......or our status on the BCIS site changes.

The whole process from beginning to end took about 1 hour.
