Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I didn't notice that I never wrote a review. I hope I still remember things well enough.

Our interview went very well. We didn't have to wait too long (had the appointment early in the morning). The officer was extremely friendly. It didn't feel like we were being 'interrogated' more like a friendly conversation. He noted that he had never seen a visa from Iceland before (which I had in my passport), and asked questions about Icelandic (which I taught). Turned out that he had studied linguistics and was just personally interested in the language He quickly looked at our photo albums (commented on some pictures of us in disco outfit and started chatting about disco music), asked some basic questions... I think the interview didn't take more than 20 minutes or so. I got approval notice the same day (if I remember correctly).

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Had interview on Thursday June 18, 2013, at 8:00am. We parked in the many public parking spaces that they have near downtown area for $2 for 2 hours. We arrived and and put our apointment paper in the slot in door #1.

We arrived 5 mintues early and waited 5 minutes and they called us in. We had a male african american IO with a very straight face look and personality, a no-nonesense type of person. He called me in first and ask a couple of questions (will list them below). He then walked me out to the waiting room and had my husband go in with him. My brother went with my husband as an interpreter. Also the IO had me leave my belongs in the room that he was interviewing us while i waited in the waiting room. He asked my husband the same questions as he asked me but less direct to see if my husband could answer with similar answers as mine. Afterwards the IO came back to the waiting room to ask me to go back into the room with my husband. The IO asked if we had any docum... read complete review

So today we had an interview scheduled at 10 AM. About 10:20 AM the IO called our name and we then proceeded to the room for an interview. The interview only took about 5-10 minute and pretty much all he asked us was some questions based on the I-485 packet that is in front of him. He asked me a question about what I was doing in Kenya because that is what he saw on my passport. Anyways all went well. The IO did ask my wife some questions pertaining to the packet as well. The IO did not ask any other questions based on the documents we bought in. After the short interview, the IO said that we should expect a mail within a month. As expected, I have checked the USCIS site for the status and our case was approved. We are expecting a letter in the mail about the approval and about 60 days till we receive my wife's GC.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I had my interview here a week ago. the environment was quiet and relaxing. security was a breeze, we didnt have to take our shoes off which makes it alot easier. i have to say they work a bit slow. we waited approximately 40mins after our scheduled interview time and my husband was getting a bit antsy. our interview however lasted less than 10 mins and we were approved. The officer was very nice and gets to the point....
Very Good experience

Review Topic: General Review

It was OK......I came in about thirty mins before, but wasn't seen until thirty after my appointed time. I'm surprise we didn't have any after problems because during the interview, in my nervousness, I told the officer a wrong previous entry year that i entered the U.S. I was freaked out afterwards. But sure enough later that day I got the text saying that my case was updated. I went online to see that my card production has been ordered.
