Our interview was on November 3, 2016 at 12:30 pm. We got there at exactly 11:30 am and there is a long line outside. It took us about 50 minutes to get in, the security is airport style. Once we got in, we headed to the room and gave them our interview notice. The IO called us around 12:45, she is very nice and professional. She double checked our I-130 & I-485 if all the information are correct, ask for some photos, original bills, ask how we met each other and other basic things. The interview lasted about 30 minutes but, in the end we were given a paper saying "case is held for further review". The IO told us the she is new and she needed to check in with her supervisor, she also showed us a stack of files she need to go through. After 1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days of the interview the online status for my I-130 and I-485 is APPROVED. Overall we are pleased of this office and the people the work there. The wait for the result is new wracking but patience is the key. A lot of patience a... read complete review

My AOS interview appointment was on June 8 at 8:15 am. We got the federal building at 7. There was already a short line to get in. Security is way slower than the airport so try to get there an hour early just in case. You can bring your phone and there's food stand on the first floor and I believe a coffee shop on the 2nd. They'll let you bring coffee/water/food from there up to 8th floor as long you don't spill and make a mess.
There were two waiting rooms. Depends where your IO office is is where you would wait. We ended up waiting where they usually have US Citizenship applicants wait since our IO's office is in that area. We were the first applicant to drop our letter but didn't get called until 8:30. Our IO, Mr. Lee, was a very serious guy. Deep voice and he could be intimidating. But he was actually fair! We sworn, asked for ID, passports, and marriage certificate.
The questions he asked were:
How did you meet?
The yes/no que... read complete review

I just want to share my experience in the adjustment of status through marriage interview. Our appointment was in Los Angeles office, eight floor at 10:30 am, we arrived at 10:00 am and wait for probably 30 minutes before the officer call us to go inside, I don't remember his name but he was very funny and friendly, even thought my husband was nervous, everything went well and I was approved on the spot !!!
The questions were simple and not difficult to answer to a real marriage couple:
"where does your spouse lives'
"name of your spouse"
"your spouse birthday"
"where she/he was born"
"name of your spouse parents"
"how did you guys meet"
'how was the first date"
They went over my adjustment of status application as well my husband sponsorship form
The officer told us to wait for about 15 minutes while he was making copies and thinking about his decision, he came to us with our original docume... read complete review

Had my aos interview yesterday. Arrived at about 2 and interview was at 2.15 we went in just before 3. The officer confirmed some information like name dob, parents names and address. He asked us how we met he then asked for Photos, he took a few photos, we offered to show some flight itineraries which he took. he asked if we had joint financial documents and we gave him joint lease, car insurance, bank accounts, and phone bill and said "you look like a real couple to me, give me a bit to make copies" we were in and out within 5 minutes we waited for about 15 mins and he came out and said you've been approved! Very easy and relaxed. However I will say some couples went in before us and were in there for over 30 minutes so every situation is different.
