485 interview(thru marriage) scheduled for 10:30am. We walked in at 9:40am. Checked in, waited at the designated area for a few minutes. My name was called first of all the ppl who were in the same waiting zone. Interviewer was delightful, had only few words. In her office we oath, names and birthdays were verified, was asked for new health exam paper(one submitted expired). A few 'Have you ever' questions. We brought our 3 weeks old son so his birth certificate was asked. After 5 mins she said "Ok, it's done. You'll receive the greencard in 2-3 weeks." No other questions were asked. When we exited the office it was 10:10am.

We arrived waaay early since we lived at the other end of town and it was rush hour. Checked in and the receptionist informed us to wait. Interview was scheduled for 845 but we were not seen until almost 10am or shortly thereafter.

After making us swear he proceeded to ask my wife (USC) a few questions then he asked me the same questions from the I-485.

He verbally told us the I-130 was approved and my AOS would be reviewed. Which was a major debbie downer.

Later that evening I woke up from a big boy nap with my wife yelling "check your email! Check your email!" Case updated to say "card is being produced"

AOS with approved I360
It lasted 10 mins. It was an older lady (60's) Officer Godard. She made me swear in and repeated all questions in the I-485. She then asked me if I was married and I said no and she took a copy of my DL, Passport and divorce cert. She asked how I entered, the last date of entry - I answered.

She then smiled and said 10 days is when they will let me know the decision - she asked if I left the US after the last entry I said no. She asked if I worked - I gave her my offer letter, W2 and pay stubs thus far. I also signed a waiver of attorney presence.

I then kindly requested that she changed my name on my green card back to my maiden name - she asked why didn't I do this at the divorce- I said I was not at the hearing due to low funds - she looked at thee divorce cert and remarked she didn't realize he filed for divorce. She asked why didn't I file for the divorce is said "Ma'am I was not in touch with him and I had no m... read complete review

My AOS Interview was very straightforward with no trick questions, the IO was very professional and polite. My application was approved on the spot.

Pretty much typical of any government style building, nothing special about the waiting room. We had a 12pm appointment time for the interview, arrived around 11:45am. Ended up waiting for about 2 hours, and finally got called to interview around 2pm. The officer was nice enough and professional with her questions, generally friendly and asked the questions we expected to get so no problems with the interview itself.

One major complaint though is that the officer said that she couldn't process the AOS until she recieved a new medical, as the one submit with the application was out of date (over a year old.) While this is not her fault, I am disappointed that USCIS doesn't make it more clear that the medical would need to be resubmit as we could have done that prior to the interview and brought it with us at the time...
