We went for our Interview on November 15th. I had everything they requested and then some. The lady who interviewed us asked us to state our full names, birth dates, addresses and a few other questions. She then asked the same of my daughter. Then she questioned me a bit on my daughter's father (who is not listed on her birth certificate and is not in her life). She even insisted she needed his name. She then stated that our medical was incomplete but couldn't tell us why and wanted to contact the civil surgeon. We were left with the impression that if she had her question answered everything would be fine. We received a RFE last week and we had the civil surgeon then fix the vaccine part of the I693. The civil surgeon indicated that the particular officer we had sends everyone back to her. So now we wait again. I wish they had better communication. The interview was fine but now we wait nervously!

It was not difficult. IO asked me if I was legal in the country when I got married. I showed him my paperworks and everything to prove that I was. I still had one more year before renewal of visa status.
She asked several basic questions such as marriage date, his date of birth, how we met, what is his favorite dish if I cook for him etc, where did we go for dinner last night etc....
She left the room for copying and came back stating we are approved....

She took us to her office and asked us to take an oath. Then she asked me for evidence to show that we were married and living together. So I gave her a copy of our apartment lease, joint checking a/c, joint savings a/c and Life Insurance. She returned some of the documents that I had mailed in with the original application saying that they were extra and that she didnt need them. She asked my husband to tell my DOB and asked him if he did anything special since my birthday was a few days ago. She then asked me to tell her my husband's DOB and Place of Birth. She then asked my husband how he became a citizen and he told her "... through family since his grandfather was born here". She then wanted to know if he had sponsered anyone else before for a green card.. She then wanted to look at our wedding album and she loved it... So she called another immigration officer and they both were ooohing & aaahing over our album. She then stamped my passport, took out my I-94 and EAD.
