I went in for my interview yesterday. i must say this site helped a lot and this is my experience so that people can also get some feed back from it. To begin with, there is nothing to worry about. All the horror stories people write on the internet I do not really know where they get it from.

The officer took us down the room and swore us in. Asked wife's name, DOA and address. Asked wife the same questions. Asked the name of the intersection of road at our house. And that was it. Majority of the questions were confirming stuff on the application we sent. Was approved on the spot. Just be confident, the officer are not there to fail anybody. God bless!javascript:emoticon('')

Our appointment was at 8:45 AM. We arrived around 8:00 AM and there was plenty of parking. We didn't bring our phones in because I wasn't allowed to bring mine in for my K-1 interview in Vancouver, but people seemed to have their phones inside despite the signs saying not to use them.

Once inside, we went through security then went to the front desk and handed them our AOS appointment letter. We were directed to the waiting area. After a few minutes, we were called up to a window where our letter and passports were checked. Then we waited maybe half an hour to be called in for our interview. The wait was MUCH better than my K-1 interview, which I waited two hours for.

A lady met us at the door and had us follow her down a very long hallway to her office where she had us do the oath and then take a seat. She was friendly and relaxed. She went through the long list of questions to which the answer is always "no", asked me my husband's name and birt... read complete review

We had a 10' interview. IO was very professional and friendly. She swore us in and requested to see our IDs. She double checked the info on my I485 and asked all the routine questions that are on the form.
She then explained that they give a time frame of 30 to 60 days for the GC to arrive in the mail but that it's usually 2 weeks. She let me keep my EAD as I was to start a new job a week after the interview but she made very clear that I'm not allowed to use it for anything else other than that (especially not to travel). She also told me that it's my responsibility to remove conditions 3 months before my GC expires and to make sure not to register to vote when I get my driver's license as it will cause problems when I apply for citizenship. And that was it...we are now USCIS free for 21 months!
