Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our appointment was at 9:30pm at the Irving, TX office. We arrived with our lawyer at 9:20am and the office was really full.
We got one of the "restaurant" buzzers and sat down to wait. About 20min later someone called my name.
The officer was a white male on his mid thirties. He sworn us in and asked us to sit.
He calmly explained all that he was going to do:
Part 1 - go through the application
Part 2 - talk about the relationship
Asked if we had any question, we said no and he started stating the information on the application as I confirmed it was correct. (full name, address, country and place of birth, parents names, wife's name etc)
He only went through the first few pages and jumped to the Affidavit of Support. Confirmed a bit of information and then said all looked good.
He looked at the evidence we had initially submitted: bills, affidavits from friends, pictures, etc.
He seemed to be measuring us every tim... read complete review

our interview was scheduled at 9:30 am on April 23, 2009... we got there at almost 9:00 and there were so many ppl ahead of us... we got in there with so many things in our hands including albums containing pics, our wedding card, tax returns, joint bank statements, credit cards, energy bill and so many other things..... the officer sitting at the desk took our appointment letter and gave us pager.... we sat down waiting to get the call........ everyone else was so tensed and confused as what is gonna happen at their interview.... me and my husband were so relaxed that we were making jokes of certain happenings over there... everyone's pager was vibrating when they were called even if they came after us.. but our pager was not vibrating so we were laughing as if it works or not suddenly it started vibrating so we went inside with the immigration officer..... soon after getting inside the appropriate room...... the officer asked us to give her our photo identity, EAD, SS.... then she lo... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

OK Finally after all these months of wait, last month we got an appointment letter for an interview at the Dallas office 8:30AM.
We left around 7:45AM(dont live too far from there thank God) and made it there 3min before our interview.
Went through security was pointed to door nr2 and was told to sit down and wait.At that point I was like F*** eveything im ready to go to sleep now since I dont sleep at all night before.
After 10 min our name was called, and this young guy with very pleasant face walked us in.
First thing he asked us for was our IDs (pass and licence for me & drivers licence from Mark). After that he double checked my info on the file he had with him(name,DOB,country of birth, etc) and started asking thos"have u ever...?' questions- I just said"No-to all of them"
Then he asked how we met I told him short version but he seemed satisfied. He mentioned then that he was on Adriatic sea during the war in Croatia cause he was in the Navy then,an... read complete review

We got there about 1 1/2 hour early just to make sure we found the place ok and to grab something to eat before the interview. After lunch we went in for the interview. After going through security we put our letter in the slot and waited about 45 min before we were called. The lady was very nice and seemed to have done this a thousand times before. I dont even think we were asked any questions. She just went through our thick stack of paperwork confirmed our info was up to date and gave us the letter of approval and stamped my passport. Very quick and painless!
