Our interview went well and super smooth! Our Officer is cool and made us comfy and reassuring. We got approved on the spot.

The Charleston office serves most of the state of South Carolina, some parts of North Carolina and Georgia. Both Application Service Center and field office are very close to each other. The field office is big enough for the numbers it process and is adequately staffed. The front-line security guards are courteous and check you before sending in. The first counter in the left checks you in for whatever he appointment you have. My appointment is for naturalization interview and so was checked in 5 minutes I entered the building. The officer that interviewed me was sweet and made me be at ease. She handled everything nice and approved me in 10 minutes. All the staff are are very friendly and act to your need, relatively fast. There is a medium size oath ceremony hall that fits about 25-30 people at once to administer oath ceremonies. The staff offered to take pictures of the new citizens which is a nice gesture. Overall it was a very pleasant experience in Charleston Field office.

This was a really great experience for us. My husband and I were still waiting for our Removal of Conditions case to be approved when we filed online for the N-400 at the end of June. We were expecting to be waiting for about a year or so but his N-400 interview was scheduled for only about 3 months after filing. At the interview, they didn't mention the ROC case at all. They wouldn't let me inside due to covid and I was waiting outside for about 2 hours. My husband says the interviewer was very friendly and immediately put him at ease. We had been studying together almost daily for a few weeks so he was very prepared for the exam and passed easily. They did the oath ceremony and gave him his naturalization certificate. We were very pleasantly surprised to be finally be done, and just in time to register him to vote!
