Local Office - Lawrence MA
We tried to request a temporary stamp for AP after receiving the expedited approval notice, after being told by the USCIS customer service that the local office could do so. My spouse made multiple INFOPASS appointments (as there was a change in circumstances after the first one), but was denied the stamp without much explanation and was told that a family member's death wasn't an emergency. AP card came 4 days after needed, and thus not able to use for the reason it got expedited.

Our interview was set at 10:00 AM. We took the T to government center and arrived 10 minutes early. We lined up for check-in, and our appointment letter was taken for documentation. The receptionist told us that we would be called by my name (applicant/beneficiary). Overall, the office was pretty quiet, and looked organized.
My husband and I sat behind the reception area. We didn't go over possible questions prior to the appointment because he said he didn't want to sound rehearsed and we really had nothing to hide anyway. But I was pretty sure he couldn't remember my birth place because I worked in a different city the whole time we'd known each other, so I asked him. And just as I thought, his answer was the city I worked in. So I made sure he got it right.

We were called in right on time of our appointment. No additional waiting. IO called in my husband first. Asked him a set of questions, then he called me in. Asked me the same questions (my husband said). In the end he didn't say whether we were approved or not. Didn't ask me for any of our pictures or further evidence of bona fide we have brought with us. Took my I-94 but didn't stamp my passport. So now we don't really know what's going on.
