Arrived at the federal building at 1030. Appt. 11:00 am. We got there and immediately went to the check - in window. The agent took our I-797C, (NOA) document and told us to have a seat. (The room was packed with people. I was thinking we were going to be there all day. But, the agent came out from the little room and told us that we had to go downstairs and into another room. We walked downstairs and saw there were 8 people there waiting for their appointment. We walked to the front of the office where there was another receptionist whom took our I797C and gave it to another agent in the back. About 10 minutes go by and a candidate came out from the room and talked to his family. By the time I turned my head, it was our turn. We went in and the agent told us to have a seat. He had our entire history of documents in front of him. He said that he was there to go over our documents and to see if everything was still in order. We were hoping to be approved but were only told that someone else would make the decision later.
We are a K-1, with K-2, having gotten an I-601 Waiver.
The lady was not aware of our I-601 waiver.
Her main objective was to verify data on the forms.
The only documentation she asked for was:
Passports, my Drivers Liscense, I-94 cards which she kept, and proof of relationship materials (I gave bank statement, credit card statement, health insurance card, recents family photos, wedding album)
She marvelled at our wedding album.
Since the appointment letter said no Cell Phones, we didn't bring one. However, we learned they were fine as long as you turned them off after entering the interview offices. They were okay in the waiting room.
Interview took about 20 minutes for both my wife and her son (5 yrs old).
Parking is expensive ($18 for 1-2 hours).
We arrived about 1pm for find a long line at security. ... read complete review

We were approved!!!!    We arrived in Baltimore, Maryland exactly 10:00 am. Our interview was scheduled for 11am. Only to realize that we forgot our marriage certificate at home. We quickly went back home came back and arrived at 11:08am (I was speeding). We went through security, who escorted us to room 103. We checked in at the front desk and the receptionist told us to listen for our name to be called. We waited for about 10 mins, and a young white lady called my husbands name. We said Good Morning to her because she really didnt look so friendly. Before we can sit down we were sworn in. Funny enough I was the one be intervied the most. These were the questions she asked:
Whats your husbands mother and fathers name?
What is his Date of Birth?
Where was he born?
Where do you work?
How did you meet? she asked the both of us
She asked my husband for my date of birth?
Do we have any children?
Have we... read complete review
