Interview:
We arrived 30 minutes early to my husband's appointment as per the instructions on the appointment letter. We went through security, which was similar to an airport - bags and electronics go through the scanning machine and you walk through a metal detector. We waited for about an hour and then they called my husband's name. He went into the office and before he sat down, he was instructed to put up his right hand and say an oath. The officer asked him for his green card, passport, driver's license, and appointment letter. The officer began the interview with the civic's test. Some of the questions included:
Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
Who is in charge of the executive branch?
Name three of the original 13 colonies.
What is the party of the current president?
What are the two political parties in the US?

For the English reading/writing part, my husband was instructed to read a sentence on a piece of pa... read complete review

N-400 Interview:
Husband appointment time was at 2:09 pm. We arrived at Kopper Street location at 1:09 pm. My husband checked in, and that when the waiting began. We waited for 4 LONG EXCRUCIATING HOURS!!!! Several times, one of the workers will come out and tell others that are waiting for an interview that they are running behind. They called my husband at 4:50pm. It was a female white officer. He was sworn in, and then he was seated. According to my husband, the officer went through ALL his immigration documents that he has submitted since K1 visa. She asked him questions corresponding to what we answered on the application and his journey so far since he has entered the United States. After that he was asked 7 questions on the civic test:
1. When was the Declaration of Independence adopted? (Husband skipped that question)
2.Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States?
3. Who lived in America before Europeans arrived?
4. What is the nam... read complete review

My interview with USCIS at Baltimore field office. Our interview was scheduled at 12:15 PM, we reach there at 11:45
We were called at 12:30 as we both proceeded, the IO ask my husband to wait as he needs a few minutes with me alone.
I went inside, was given the oath and after seat down, our entire dossier was laying open in front of him, the right has a yellow paper on top which scared me "the color scared me". He asked me about my passport and other IDs if i have. ohhh our interview was being recorded.
The IO asked me about: My name? My DOB? Date of Marriage? My husband name "he asked me to spell it"? My husband DOB? My husband's ex-wife name? My husband's children names and age? When I came to the U.S? My husband phone number and my phone number? Does my husband take any medicines? Does me or my husband smoke or drink? What cigarette he smoke? What does he drink? When did he proposed? Does he was a ring? From where w bought the ring? Does my family and his famil... read complete review

I had my oath ceremony today (9/24/2014) at the Baltimore field office. We were directed to the same waiting room as where we had to wait for the interview. Oath ceremony was scheduled for 2pm, about 2:05pm an immigration officer walked in and directed us to the room. He went thru instructions (turn in your greencard, complete back of form, etc.) Then we all went up to turn in the paperwork. Even though the oath ceremony invitation/letter has a number written on it they didn't go by the numbers, he called us up one row at a time. I was sitting in the front row, yet I was the last one to get my certificate. We saw a video, welcome from the president. Then another officer came in to officiate the oath. We sang the national anthem and recited the pledge of allegiance. Both officers passed out certificates at the end of the ceremony. The room was a good size, it was pretty full. Guests were allowed, someone had a toddler that screamed all the way thru the ceremony, I felt sorry thinking it... read complete review

I had my interview today at the Baltimore field office. The officer was very nice and friendly. Baltimore does same day oath ceremonies but today was full so I have to go back next week for the oath ceremony. There is lots of parking and its free. You can take in your cell phones, water and snacks. My appointment was at 1pm and I was too nervous to eat so I made sure to take something with me just in case. First you go thru security - similar to the airport screenings - then you check in at the front desk, they will check your interview letter and stamp it. Then you go into the waiting room and stop at a stop sign, another employee will check the letter, and give you a number - similar to the MVA - she told you to listen for your name. I arrived about 45 minutes early and had to wait for almost an hour before the interviewing officer called my name. The waiting room is large and there were several people there with babies and toddlers.

I can't remember much ... read complete review
