The interview was very brief. They reviewed all our forms and made some corrections.
We arrived 30 minutes before our interview and we had to wait until 10 minutes before to go get our number. It was a breeze through the check point. Our IO was pretty good. While reviewing our documents my husband explained alot so our interview was cut short due to him already saying alot. Haha. But it was an awesome experience. However in the interview they requested my I9 from my job. So I had to submit that after. But from our interview we knew all was well.

My interview was very detailed. They did not want to see any pictures. They asked both me and my husband questions. I think it lasted about 15 mins. She asked if I get along with my husband's ex wife , she asked where we got married and if it was a big wedding. She mostly asked about us as a couple and what we enjoyed doing. She looked at my Husband insurance to see if I was on it and also bank statements. It seemed she was much more interested in seeing if we have joint stuff together.

Had an amazing experience for my AOS interview! The immigration officer was really nice. Since we live in Juneau, they had to send people from Anchorage, which is where the immigration office is for Alaska. The officer was really nice and it's like she's just having a friendly conversation with us. Here's what happened:

First was she asked us to stand up, raise our right hand and swear that everything we say will be the truth. And then she asked us first and foremost, which was also like the only question that she asked, was if I had any intention to get married when I came here last April (as I entered via tourist visa), which I answered no, because my husband just surprised me and spoke to my parents who were also visiting! She then asked the questions on the I-485 form on terrorism, felonies, etc, all of which I said 'no' to. And then she asked for documents to support our relationship and the rest was just plain conversation, like three longtime friends catching up!... read complete review

From the security guard to biometrics personnel to immigration officers, everyone was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. If you have a legitimate case, you should have no problems here whatsoever. Very few people were in the office the 3 times we were there and waits were very short. I was nervous due to the seriousness of needing the green card to be able to stay with the love of my life, but these people helped me feel more at ease, and made the process as painless as possible. And a bonus for going all the way to Anchorage (from Homer) for biometrics: Denali NPP is just another day's drive away! spectacular beauty.
