The office was a white male in his 60s and extremely nice to us. We brought our baby along and he was just disturbing all through. It took about 20mins and he told us I was approved for 2years green card.

N400 Interview.

Arrived 15 mins early for 12:30pm appointment, Mercantile Ave address. Check in bag through metal detector. Polite staff, nice modern building. Directed to waiting room where no-one was there but me. (I asked about this and the officer said most interviews are scheduled for the morning and only a few people are due afternoon)
Officer called me to the interview room at 12:30pm. Very nice woman, smiling, helpful, welcoming.
Office is small, with officer behind a desk and a glass shield. She shows me to my chair. A tablet is on a stand on the interviewee side.
First she "checked me in" which meant me just showing my green card and drivers license, checks name, date of birth etc and she adds info to computer.
Next came civics (2008 version) test. Questions were
- Who is your state governor?
- Where is your state capitol?
- On what date do Americans celebrate Independence Day?
- What are two rights of Ame... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

This review is for the Albuquerque USCIS office. My wife and I had appointment first week of January 2021 for her adjustment of status from tourist visa to conditional green card due to marriage to us citizen.

Like airport security getting in, but all polite and professional and helpful. You are allowed to check in 15 minutes before appointment which is about what you need to do to allow some security check time. Sat covid spread out in a waiting room with about 4 other singles and one other couple. We all got called within 10 or 12 minutes of appointment. I think we were all blocked to start at the same time with about 6 different interviewers.

Our interviewer was polite and professional. Asked us how we met. Asked the long list of questions on the form of have you ever violated a visa or participated in human trafficking etc etc. Perhaps because I had a common background with the interviewer , it was very quick to review my background, fin... read complete review

Review Topic: Naturalization

My wife (LPR) and I (USC) went for an appointment in Albuquerque for a combo interview, both I751 and N400. We arrived at 7:55 for an 8 o'clock appointment and they called on us at about 8:10 AM. They seem very prompt at this office. The immigration officer who handled my wife's cases was very nice. He chatted about 2 different restaurants in ABQ that serves Colombian food, only one of which we were familiar with. The I751 portion of the interview was pretty easy. He simply checked all of the info that we had submitted in the application and then added our 2017 tax transcript. He then invited us to talk about how we met and how our married life is going. I then left and my wife continued on with the N400 part of the interview. She answered 6 questions from the Civics test correctly. She also found the English writing/speaking/reading test to be very easy. The IO told her that both applications were approved and that they would be sending a new green card to her as well as an invitation... read complete review
