Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband said that the first part of the interview went well with the first interviewer, but the second interviewer was questionable. He left the interview with questions that didn't get answered by the interviewer and our case was sent back for further review. There were some questions based on my income which is sufficient to support two people and above the federal poverty lines, which if the income was not above the federal poverty lines would not have been approved enough to trouble the consulate.

The interview was a painless process for us I’m pleased to say!!!!!
We arrived at 7:45 to get in line and my fiancé was let in about 8:15. I couldn't go in even though I'm an American ... (rubbish if you ask me)!
I waited outside for about an hour before heading back to the hotel and at 11:30 he called me to say that he was finished and that he had been issued a 221(g) and that when we submitted the paper that was missing we'd get his visa. He was TOLD by the man who interviewed him that he was approved pending the submission of one last form.
So we returned to the embassy at 3:00 p.m. with the missing paper (the original 1-134) and that was that. The embassy called the next day to tell us to come and pick up his visa at 3:00 p.m.
His interview was short and sweet. Only a few basic questions. He believes that the decision was already made to issue him a visa prior to his interview. Thus, I'm lead to believe that the strength of the I-129F is VERY importan... read complete review

Very smooth process. The staff was very polite and the interview was very short, only few questions asked like where you are going to live in the U.S and when are you going to get married. If your relationship is valid, then don't sweat it, you will get your visa.
