Appeared @ Embassy 30 min in advance of 10:30 appt. Was able to accompany my fiancee throughout the entire process.
Got our appt. # at the outdoor kiosk and was told proceed to security check. Passed thru security, and across a courtyard to the entrance. There was a very long queue. DO NOT wait in that queue. Go thru door on the left and immediately to the front desk. Tell them you're there for a K-1 visa. They'll tell you to take the lift to the 1st floor. Once there go left then turn left again and watch the screen for your # to be called. We waited 15 min. before our # was called. Answered brief questions - showed a couple documents (DS-160 etc) and were told to again sit down and wait. In less than 20 min our # was again called. Went to another nearby window where Ewa was asked for fingerprints and to affirm her answers would be truthful. She was asked where we met, if she'd ever changed her name (no) , ever been to the US (no) , been married before (no), I was asked my pro... read complete review

Overall: really great experience. Make sure you leave sufficient time, they recommend around 90 minutes.
Entry: Follow instructions and make sure you have your DS-160 form printed, with your passport to hand to the person organising the queue (before security).
When you enter the Embassy, there are two queues, make sure you announce yourself to the person at the desk as ‘Immigration’ and they will expedite your process.
Go to the first floor, go left and left again to a smaller waiting area.
Process: You will be seen by someone who will process your documents and take your biometrics. Afterwards you will have your interview - answer will be given by the Consular Officer and then you leave and wait for your passport.
The experience here was really positive and efficient, and because your’e going through the K-1 process, there’s a different area and team that helps.

Arrived in London one day before the interview for the K-1 Visa. Everything went very well the day of the interview. It was all very anticlimactic actually, thank God for that!

As expected, the interview was by far the easiest part of this whole journey! On entry (having remembered reading on here not to wait in the queue in the lobby and go straight to the desk) I skipped the queue and got sent straight up to the waiting room. I was seen very quickly after arriving by the man who would take my paperwork. He took my appointment confirmation, passport, US pictures, birth certificate, police certificate from the U.K. and Spain, i134, employment verification and pay stubs.
I sat back down and this wait took over an hour but I believe the system went down today so that explains it! Once I finally got to my actual interview I spoke with the officer for less than a minute and he told me I was approved and to expect my visa within the week!

Good Evening all!
Good news... My K1 has been approved at my interview today!! Â
Here is my experience:
Getting To London
I am pretty lucky and I live on the south coast, so getting to London is pretty straight forward and means that I did not have to spend the night there.
To get to the Embassy, my kind friend offered to drive me, which made things a whole lot easier. My interview was at 10:30AM, and I wanted to get there for around 10:00AM so I had a little bit of time to play with. (It is recommended that you arrive 20 minutes before your interview I believe). As it was the day after a bank holiday, we left early, at 06:50AM to make sure that we are not late due to London traffic, and we ended up arriving at 09:55AM, so perfect timing!
For those of you wondering, the new Embassy is on the very outskirts of the London Congestion ... read complete review
