I rang them to book my appointment. On the day, I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment time.
Went in, gave them the documents they had requested (they will make copies and give the originals back to you). They will take a photo of you; I didn't need to bring my own. They confirmed this via email. They also gave me a cup/bottle/canister to pee into. That can be completed at any point while you are there, between any of the appointments you will have.
They gave me another questionnaire to fill in whilst there that included info on previous major surgeries, hospitalisations, and any allergies.
After that, I was taken to see the nurse who confirmed that my vaccinations were all fine and up to date. I assume it is at this point that they would give you any more vaccinations you might need.
After that, back to the waiting room for a short period, before being taken to see the doc. She asked a few questions, measured my hei... read complete review

Just to update, my interview was yesterday (4 May 2021) at 10.30. I arrived at 9.50 (I'm just always early and they let me through). Proceeded through security etc and was given my ticket number and sent to the first floor to the waiting room. Was called for documents and handed over everything - they checked my medical was on the system (taken on 23/04) and that the affidavit of support was there - they told me they didn't need the physical copy with the wet signature or my hubby's tax transcripts as they were on there (though, I would still recommend taking them just in case - they're still part of the required documents). Sent back to sit down and wait for interview part. They also took fingerprints at that window.
Called up to another window and swore the oath and did the interview. The lady said everything seemed fine and they would issue it and that it could take a couple of weeks for my passport to be returned with the visa in. I got a bit excited and then babble... read complete review

Interview - 19th April
1. Entered the building - showed passport and appointment letter.
2. Sent upstairs to first floor and waited for number to be called.
3. Called to window and asked for civil docs, passport and a photo. Also took fingerprints.
4. Called to next window for interview with a different officer to the first one. Asked general questions about when I met my wife, where we plan to move, why we’re moving etc. We had a joint sponsor so he asked who my joint sponsor was and where he lived. He then couldn’t find my wife’s tax returns on the system (even though all were uploaded). Then he said that whilst your wife has lived in the UK with you for the last 4 years she is still required to file her taxes and we need proof of transcript. I said that she filed by paper retrospectively a few months ago and because of covid the IRS have not processed them.
He then went to speak to his boss. He came back and then said you need... read complete review

Had my interview today!! All good super easy and smooth😎
I was super nervous beforehand because I’d had some NIV denied in the past but they weren’t even mentioned in my interview! The relief is insane!
