Cannot comment on the actual staff at the Embassy as Im still waiting for my interview, but so far numerous phone calls and emails all seem to be met with the same response... "Nothing Yet". I called this morning and at first was told they couldnt give me any information on the phone. When I explained again that all I wanted was confirmation they had recieved my file from NVC (Which was sent 27th July 2005), I got the reply "Oh sorry is it a visa your waiting for?" I explained again that I filed for a CR-1 and everything was finalised and sent from NVC on 27th July they then told me "Well I cant see anything on screen but its probably in the building"
I hope they really are as friendly and efficient on the day of the interview but so far in my personal experience, if you need to contact them via email or phone dont expect an immediate reply (I sent an email 14 days ago and still havent had a reply only the generated FAQ they send telling you to wait 24-48 hours for a reply), and... read complete review

They were difficult to contact when an instant answer was needed, and their method of receiving mail and signing for it needs to be looked at, but when it came down to it they went above and beyond to sort things out and on the day they were polite, helpful and very friendly.

Apart from standing in the queue outside the embassy for a chilly 35 mins, the rest of it went beautifully and I can't complain at all. Except maybe that they called me so quickly for my interview that I didn't get time to drink my coffee! I was in and out of there so fast I couldn't believe it, must have been about 35 mins all told. The staff who dealt with me were all very friendly. I never used the expensive phoneline, just email and got the date I wanted with minimal waiting. The longest wait for me was for Packet 3.

email response was hit or miss, and the expensive hotline # wasn't much of a help to john. But, it went smoothly and from what John said, the people were very friendly and respectfull.

Everything was EXCELLANT!! I didn't have to use e mail or the phones but I wrote a covering letter with my info asking for an early a date as possable to allow time to get my AP to get back for my brothers wedding and they were very accomadating. (unfortuantly MSC wasn't as accomadating and my AP saga was a nightmare!)
The X ray guy at Doc Phelans office was such a funny guy. The toilet at Doc Phelans is something I'll never forget
The 'guards' even let us out for a ciggie while we were waiting to get called!
EXCELLANT EXCELLANT but what else should it be from the Brits huh??
