Lots of waiting for less than 10 mins total window time. Very basic questions and no problems. Visa received the next day.

oh dear what a bind ! You queue outside the Embassy in the open whether it rains or not - they don't let you through the gates until 30 minutes after your interview time. You sit in there for ages until they call your name and examine documents - then you sit and wait another 1.5 hours for your 3 minute interview... 5 hours from arriving to leaving - gut wrenching ....
never again !

My appt was at 10.30am and when I went in, I was the only person in the consulate.
Once the document man had checked me over and given me a sticker I was told to sit down and wait, by which time a pair of people had came in and were sitting down waiting for their documents to be checked.
Once my number was called I went round and made the sacred oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth (but no help me God - they clearly omit that part these days).
I was asked about one of the boxes I had checked (about an arrest - long but insignificant story about youthful drunken extravagance) and was then told that everything was fine and I should recieve my visa within a few days (I actually got home the next day about 45 seconds before the visa did).
All in all I was in and out within 30 minutes, although I think that is the exception rather than the rule.

We both attended together although not necessary at London. 9AM appointment, first interview of the day. At first window, took appointment letter, police report, birth certificate, 2 passport size photos and medical packet. At second window, didn't ask when we had met last since we were together. Asked Wes when we had met (internet) and when; asked us both what we do for a living. Asked Rebecca for I-134 and took that document with NO SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. Took Wes' prints, had him sign DS-230 part 2, told us we had 90 days to marry after entry, and told Rebecca to not forget to adjust Wes's status after we married. Told us to go to courier window and pay fee, and that was it. Out of embassy by 9:30 or so. Easy and painless.
