Everyone else seems to only be marking the London Embassy for their performance on the day of the interview. Like others here, our interview was very fast and efficient, which is why we are giving them two out of five and not zero. As the London embassy took over the processing of our application from the NVC in August, we think it is fair to mark their overall performance since then.

We received our package three promptly, just two days after the embassy took charge of our case from the NVC. From this point on, things went downhill. After sending in our completed checklist, we waited nearly seven weeks before we got our package four. I arrived a little early for my appointment so I expected to be standing outside the Embassy for quite a while. However, one of the Embassy staff was coming along the line making sure everyone had their necessary documents. When she saw that I had an immigrant visa application she took me into the other line and I was allowed into the building about 5 minutes later. Inside the waiting room was very busy but I took my ticket and took a seat. I was called up for my first interview bang on time and the lady I spoke to was very courteous, and we even shared a few jokes. I then returned to take a seat before being called for the final interview. I had a wait of about half an hour before I was called to the second window. I was asked a couple of very easy questions about my relationship with my fiancée, and where I would be living in the USA. A few minutes later I was asked to raise my right hand and swear I was telling the truth before being advised that I had been accepted for the visa. A... read complete review

James' appt. was for 9am. He arrived at 7:45am and there were plenty of people standing outside the embassy already in line so he decided he would skip grabbing a coffee! Embassy opened at 8 or so and the lines were split into appt. times. After making it through security and working his way to the appropriate area, he walked up to a window and let an official look over the paperwork he had brought (petition packet, I-134 etc, police cert etc) and was then told to have a seat b/c it might be a while until the interview. He didn't have to wait very long...(not sure how long he waited to get to this point b/c he could not find any clocks in the building! Perhaps so you don't know how far behind they are? hah) He was called up to another window with an immigration official on the other side and this is where he stood for the 5-10 minutes the interview took! We assumed that James would be pulled into a little room to sit and have a chat! James said there were quite a few 'windows' i... read complete review
