My husband's interview was at 8:00 a.m. The outside queue moved fairly quickly, but once we were inside, we waited nearly two hours for our number to be called. We spent about ten minutes answering questions at the first window while the clerk looked over our document file. She seemed a bit confused, but perhaps she was having an off day. From there, we were instructed to take a seat and wait for our number to be called for the interview. After a brief wait of no more than 10-15 minutes, my husband had his interview with a very personable young woman who asked him a few routine questions before approving his application. The only glitch was that the woman at the first window forgot to give him the pink slip to fill out for the courier service, but the woman at window 2 tracked it down. The last step was to wait in the queue to pay the courier service fee, and that took approximately 10-15 minutes. Everything ran efficiently with a very short wait. After seeing 1 person at a bank teller type window, Daniel was given a number and waited for the main interview. The interview was short and very easy questions were asked, such as does your fiancee have siblings, where do they live, are her parents still married, what are their names etc... The woman was pleasant, and told Daniel that she was "delighted to approve our fiance visa". We were told that it would take 5-10 business days but it arrived via courier 2 days later. All in all a surprisingly pleasant experience.

Kris got there early was second in line - the process went very quickly - he was missing one paper that was thrown at him out of nowhere, but did the interivew, got a blue slip to just send back the doc with my signature and a I864a showing his assets as a sponsor -
They were very efficient, but again, had we known from NVC that they felt me being self employed and would requre our docs from house sale and etc etc, it would have been rated a 5
People are great tho - hopefully visa issued next week.

Very easy, very smooth, very quick!

I was there on time, and waited outside to go through security. Once inside, I got my number and waited for it to be called. I went to a counter and spoke to a South African man, who took from me:
- passport
- birth certificate and copy
- police certificate and copy
- Pictures
- I134 (only wanted tax info in addition)
- Fingerprint scans
He also made me sign one of the packet 3 forms, gave me back my x-ray from the medical, and asked me some questions about my past J1 visas. It was here that I saw my I129F with a big red "approved" stamp on it!
I then sat back down and waited for my number again. I was called to another counter, and this time was talking to a US immigration officer. She checked my fingers to make sure it was still me and made me take an oath. She handed back my originals, as we... read complete review
