I Left home at 5 am on the 3rd November 2011..I really hadn't slept much for the last few weeks..so it was easy getting up. I chose to drive in and had pre-booked my London waiting fee on line. I arrived and parked the car by 7.15 am, my appointment wasn't until 8 am, but i had read, people getting in sooner. I took my sister with me, and she waited in a nearby cafe with all my electronic stuff.
I know i took so much stuff with me, a complete backpack, photos, all the immigration paperwork in two files.
I got to the embassy at 7.30 am, about 20 people was in front, and typical uk weather it started to rain.
The front security asked for my letter and sent me to the booth..4 at a time go in. No problems here, and headed around the side of the building up the big steps and into the embassy. The receptionist asked for my letter and gave me a number I904!
I sat down and waited. I think it was only maybe 20 minutes till i was ca... read complete review

Got there on time and the entire interview was 40 minutes long of the five hours I sat there.
Went through my paperwork and took my fingerprints.
Sat to be called up. He asked me questions.
How old is your fiance, how old am I.
How did we meet and how long ago. Explained Farkle.
Showed him two pictures. All he wanted to see.
Questioned me about the records. Everything went well.
Now I just sit and wait for my papers in the mail and I am off home.javascript:emoticon(' ')

Well here is a review of my interview for anyone out there who is wanting to know a bit more about what to expect.
Firstly, Goulds Pharmacy (North Audley St, just off Grosvenor Squ)is absolutely brilliant for looking after your mobile phone or any electronics that you are carrying that are barred from the embassy. For 3 quid (per phone, may cost more for larger items) your stuff is safe and secure and they are open EARLY!
Next, onto the embassy. I was due at 8.30am, got there about 7.45am and everything was already in full swing... security checked into the main building and a given number beginning with I. The waiting room is bright and comfortable and busy. Tea, coffee, water and snacks are sold at the back of the room, the coffee is strong and the prices arent too bad. I'd tried to find out what to wear and worried that I might be too casual, but it appeared to be fairly relaxed in there and people were wearing everything from business suits to jean... read complete review

No problems at all. Everything you will have already read in other reports about it being quick, simple and easy is correct. I was in and out within 2 hours. Just make sure to get there EARLY! If you have a 9am appointment letter then arrive at 7:30am. That way you will get allocated a number ahead of most. Once inside it's just a case of waiting for your number to be called.

It took Dave 3 and half hours to complete everything. As long as you have all your document, it will be a breeze. Lots of people and a long wait, but worth it in the end!
