Arrived at embassy at 0730 for my CR-1 interview and the queue was about 20-30 deep already but the line began to move relatively quickly. Following security and on entering the main building i received a ticket (4th in queue for immigrant visas) and began to wait. The ticket machine subsequently malfunctioned some time after my arrival so there was some kerfuffle with people waiting after me but it was quickly and efficiently dealt with from what i could gather. I had my ticket anyway so wasn't too concerned
After about 30-45 mins of waiting i was called to the first window and began answering some simple questions. Got chatting to the lady behind the window and had a nice conversation with her even though her demeanour was somewhat combative. She noted that my medical did not appear to be in the file and i told her i had had it done the week before. Knightsbridge Doctors say that it takes 4 working days to get your results to the Embassy and my inte... read complete review

My experience basically follows many here, so I won't go into details! It was straight forward.
One reminder - remember those key-pads some banks give you for internet banking are electronic too!! I totally forgot I had it, as I don't use it much. So ended up throwing it away (HSBC replaced it freely the next day).
Everything else was fine, there for about 2 hours. Window 1 and window 16 - the two windows of choice for K visas it seems. One rather stern, unfriendly lady at window 1, one very cheery American lady at window 16.
Passport with visa attached and the big white envelope arrived just 3 days later.

my interview was at 8 am. i was scared but thankfully had a low number so knew I'd be out of my misery soon. my number was called, i went to the booth. my lawyer had left out the form DS 157k and the english lady in the booth told me i was missing docs from my application. i nearly died of a heart attack. i asked her what i should do about it to sort the problem out, she didn't answer. a couple of secs later a guy appeared with the forms and i had to fill them out to the best of my ability without having accurate facts of what exact years i attended all the schools i went to... etc etc etc. i thought my interview was going to be over then and there
but actually when i handed my forms to her, she told me i should fire my lawyer. i told her we had. she then laughed. which made me feel better! laughing is good! then i sat down again, heart beating like a galloping horse. after about 30 mins, as i was called up to the second part of the interview i actually... read complete review

Very short and down to earth interview. Nothing too surprising had a very friendly lady. Didn't ask for anything from me except the original Birth Certificate and Police Certificate. Sent copies of everything in before and they seemed to appreciate it.
