After every imaginable bad omen on the way there, DH was approved in what was a very quick, painless process at the Embassy!
Our interview was scheduled for 8 am, so we woke up at 5 and were out the house just gone 6 am. We both work near the Embassy, so are familiar with the route there and anticipated 40-45 minutes total travel time. Unfortunately, however, we just missed an Overground train and had a 10 minute wait for the next (they are usually every 5 mins, but not that early). Then, the Jubilee Line was having severe problems, so we sat on the tube for 10 minutes after first getting on and had an extra 2-5 minutes wait at each station before eventually arriving at Bond Street. We knew we were still plenty early, but the extensive delays did not help calm our nerves!
We left most electronics (Kindles, headphones, etc) at home, but needed our phones and electronic key fobs, which we planned to drop off at Gould's Pharmacy. While DH went to queue, I wai... read complete review

My husband (beneficiary) and I arrived at the embassy about 30 minutes before his 9 am interview on April 27th. He was slightly overdressed in his suit, judging by the line that had already formed. We waited about 15 minutes to get to the initial contact, who was checking names and interview times off the list. Since we didn't call ahead to see if I could accompany him, I wasn't on the list and wasn't allowed in.
I went down the street to the Starbucks that the lady checking the list had recommended. Only annoying thing about that was I had been expecting to go in to the embassy, so didn't bring my kindle or my phone and got hopped up on coffee while sitting in suspense for two and a half hours .
The interview only took about 15 minutes total. The woman who checked him in behind the counter asked why the heck we had so much documentation for a CR-1 visa, as did the man who interviewed him. The only two questions were how we met and wha... read complete review

Pretty easy, as per most of the London embassy reviews. Arrived early - 7am, queued up for 30 minutes and was the 2nd Immigrant in the line. Took my ticket, sat down opposite the tv's to watch the numbers being called. Within 15 minutes was called to window 13 - where a woman checked my paperwork was in order. She confirmed all documents were present and correct. The lady asked how old my passport were and requested more (not sure why as they were only a month old) - luckily however I had a fresh set with me (note I had taken copies of every form and every civil document just in case).
She then gave me a pink slip to fill out for the delivery company and was told to go sit back down and wait to be called up again.
Seemingly hours passed (reality 25 minutes !) and I was called up again, this time to window 15 where a bearded chap greeted me. He asked me a couple of questions ...
1. Where I met my wife
2. When we married
3. How ... read complete review

My interview was at 9am, but i arrived to line up outside the embassy at 7am and was second in line, the line got long very quicker so its a good job i got there early! My partner was not allowed in as his name was not on the list (i would advise to let them know as soon as possible if someone will be coming in with you so they can be put down on the registration list). I needed my payment reciept and appointment letter to enter, as well as my passport of course. Got X-rayed and bags scanned. You are not allowed any electronics into the embassy or keys, i left them with my partner (however we did originally hide them in some bushes nearby). Once in i lined up at reception for my ticket number, and entered the waiting room. There are about 22 booths sort of like a post office, and a huge waiting room which your ticket number will get called to a booth. Took me about 15 minutes to be called as this is an immigration visa (non-immigration visa's get called quicker), where i gave my paymen... read complete review
