This is a review for my husband’s interview with as many details as I could muster from him. haha
His interview scheduled for June 14th, 2013 @ 9:30am. He arrived at the US Embassy in London at 6am due to train schedule he had to suffer through the early arrival time. He was third in line outside and after giving his electronics to his father he enter the line and began the wait for 1 hour+ about 7:10 to 7:20 they started letting them in. After only a few minutes MANY more people were quickly in the line as well. While in line outside a woman with a trolley came up and checked to make sure you had a letter to be there.
Once inside you go to a consulate officer who checks your letter again, and your passport to your face. Once cleared there you are taken to the security for everything to be checked. Following the building around to the right until you enter the visa entry area and everyone given a number based on their type of visa, N=work, I=immig... read complete review

Scheduled Interview Time: 9.30, June 12th 2013
Arrived at the Embassy at 7.30 on the button, having left my electronics and rucksack with the hotel I stayed in the night before (Wigmore Court Hotel – good value for money by the way) and there were probably about 20 people already queued. After having my letter checked and passport verified I headed through a small hut where airport style security (think luggage scans and a metal detector) is in effect. Apparently watches also need to be scanned, didn’t know that previously.
Directed around to reception, where I was given the number I-902. Only the second Immigrant applicant of the day, which I would suggest allowed for very speedy service. Was sat down in chairs waiting by 7.40, it is clear that they do not begin to see people until 8am – although the small area for snacks is already open and receiving customers.
As the numbers begin to be called, most are N numbers for the first five ... read complete review

My interview was booked for the 10th June 2013 at 9.30am.
I arrived at the embassy at around 7.20am and there were already a few people ahead of me. Ten minutes later a security guard walked around with clear plastic bag so you could put your watch in it. About 15 mins later a lady at a desk called me forward and asked to see my appointment letter and passport. She then directed me towards a security guard who checked my letter and passport again. He then told me to wait outside the cabin door until I was called. Once the door opened I was asked if I had anything in my pockets to which the answer was no. I then had to take my jacket off and put it in a tray with my other belongings. Walked through the scanner and collected my things. I then proceeded to walk around the side of the building, up some stairs to a reception desk where another man asked me for my appointment letter. He printed off a number and stuck it to the letter and told me to head for the waiting room. <... read complete review

Its been almost two weeks since my interview now and I got my visa on the mail today. But looking back on my interview day I found it to be very anti climatic. My mind was racing the day before, thinking of the possible questions that might be asked and all that other stuff.
So on the day I left my hotel in the morning for my appointment at 9:00am. I got to the embassy at 8, and line was HUGE!!! alot of people where there early too, some had interviews at 9:30 to 10:00. the line did move fairly quickly however and I was through security and into the embassy at 8:30am.
Bang on 9am I got called to window 1 where a lady greeted me. A very nice lady, we spent most of the time talking about how cold it was outside and the rain, whilst we were talking I gave her my birth and police certificate as well as my two photos. She asked me for the support form and a letter from my fiancee\'s employment letter, nothing else, no tax returns nothing. once everything was i... read complete review
