I didn't go to the interview myself but I can share my fiancée experience.

He arrived about an hour and a half early for his 9am appointment. There was about a 30 min wait in line as there were about 80 people in front of him. Which majority were there for work visas and not the fiancé visa. So try to get there early.

He was asked to show his appointment letter when in line and about 2 more times along the way (this the letter you recieve in the mail stating your appointment date and the link for the paperwork which needs to be filled out and sent back to the embassy). This piece of paper is very important so do not forget it. As we almost did

When inside he was ask to show his 2 passport photos, birth certificate, police certificate, affidavit of support ( with copies of w2 transcripts-not to be mistaken for w2 forms that you recieve at the end of the year- the transcript must be obtained from the IRS website. My husband and I left for his 8 am interview around 5:00 am. Got on the train at 5:30, got to London by 6:30 and were outside the Embassy by 7:15 a.m.

At this point there were already quite a few people outside (15-20). We got in the back of the line and at 7:30 they started letting people through security. We were given a bag to put our belongings (coins, belts, watches) and carry through. They also had several people checking periodically and asking if anyone had car keys/cell phones/ ect... and that they would have to get out of the line and check them in down the street at Goulds. At around 7:40 we were admitted in past security and stood in line at a counter waiting to get our ticket number assigned. We were the third immigrant visa in line, among many non-immigrants. Once we got into the waiting room, it took them about 5-10 mins to warm up the system and start calling out numbers. Once they did, our number was called within minutes and by 8 am, we were at the first ... read complete review

My fiance won't tell me much about the interview, only that he was handed back his passport and issued a paper stating that we are in AP with no explanation or timeframe.

Worst day ever.
