After reading so many helpful reviews, I decided to post our experience. Our appointment was at 830am and we got to Goulds about 710. They were open and it was an easy drop off of our electronics because we were there early. It also only cost £3. We then went to the embassy and stood in line. There was already a pretty good crowd by the time we got there. It was very organized and since we contacted the embassy before our interview that I would be joining, they also let me through security with him by showing my passport. Once we were in the embassy we were assigned I-904. We waited about 30 minutes until they started calling names. The speaker is still broken and the screen wasn't on, so there was a lot of confusion in the room. Once the screen was working, things settled down. We were called at exactly 830, and were greeted by the famous Asian Women. She was as reported a very soft talker and really sweet. I told her what we had read on the forums about her and she wanted me to tell... read complete review

Interview was at 8:30am but turned up for 7:15 - as soon as Gould's Pharmacy opened to store my stuff. I traveled from Leeds so decided to get an apartment overnight within a few minutes walk. This is something I totally recommend if you are travelling a distance - it made life much easier, I was more relaxed and well rested and I'm sure that came across. Plus being able to have a shower and coffee before heading out is a good thing!

Anyways, you queue up outside the embassy and are sent through in groups of four. You go through a security checkpoint similar to an airport and you get sent through to the embassy from there. Seriously, no electronics - I saw a bunch of people sent away from the queue for having phones and iPods. They take it VERY seriously.

Inside it's pretty simple, there's seating for at least a few hundred people and several cubicles, 16 total split between two rooms. There are facilities for Tea/Coffee and food as well as some toilets ... read complete review

My fiance was the one that attended the interview, but this is what I gathered from his retelling of the story javascript:emoticon('') He's definitely not as detail-oriented as me, but here goes! hahaha

Got there about quarter to 8 (for nine o'clock appointment). There must have been about 20 people in line already. One security box was just for Americans, the other for visas. He joined the queue and when he got to the front the security guard checked his passport and interview letter. He told them he was there for a fiance visa interview, and the guard flipped the page on his clipboard and checked to see if he was on the list. Went through security and entered the embassy grounds. As there had been a storm, a big tree had fallen over, and the fire brigade had to remove a branch that was hanging over the path. Everyone had to wait until it was taken care of so people were held in queue until then. Then went inside and got number from the reception desk... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

I went for my interview this morning 1 Nov. Got there earlier than appointment time and there were already quite a few people in the queue. I'm really glad I took the advice from people on here to arrive early. No problems with anything apart from me being very nervous. Tannoy system was still not working properly but thankfully most numbers were pinged up on the screen. I can't really say how long I waited for the first bit to submit documents as I don't wear a watch but the young American guy was very pleasant and friendly even though I felt rather flustered. (I must have checked my stuff more times to make sure it was in order but could I find it when I needed it? Heck no!javascript:emoticon(''))
He told me everything was fine and I mentioned we'd originally planned for me to be there for Thanksgiving, he said I could still make it but I told him I needed to give proper notice at work and didn't want to let people down. He said he understood and told me I ... read complete review
