I had my interview in London on the 9th of February. It was actually very straight forward and only took about 10 minutes. The interviewer asked a couple of questions like when and where I met my husband and checked my documents and then I was told that I was successful.
The most stressful part of it I found was outside trying to get into the building. Everyone on this forum mentions that you do not have to queue in the long non-immigrant visa line, which is absolutely correct. However not all of the staff outside of the building are aware of this. Unfortunately when I went to the front of the queue and told them I was there for a immigrant green card interview, they said I had to queue with everyone else. I did this and then after a while decided to ask someone else as it felt wrong. They also told me to stand in the same line. About ten minutes later someone went along the line telling everyone to have their passports and DS160’s to hand for checking. I told them I had ... read complete review

I'm glad I arrived early, the linne took around an hour to clear.
The interview was fast, but I got a form 221(g) denial because they wanted my fiancée's divorce certificate.
We ordered a copy and she shipped it to me in the UK and I sent it to the embassy, but the day before they had received it I had my visa in the mail. They eventually returned the divorce cert with a note that said "Visa had already gone out".
In my opinion (I can only speculate) my case was reviewed and they found that we had submitted the divorce certificate with the original i-129f petition after all, so sent out the visa.

My interview was over in 5 minutes, she asked me about 3 questions and then said you’re approved. Didn’t want to look at any of the extra evidence I brought other than my husbands affidavit and supporting documents. I was out before my appointment time was in scheduled, very pleasant experience.

Much the same experience as other reviews on VisaJourney. MY CR-1 interview was on 12 January 2023.
Arrival and Entry
My appointment was at 9am - I got to the embassy at 8:00am and there was already a line. I went to get a coffee at District just across the road (they also have storage facilities for anything not allowed into the embassy itself). I then got in the line and had to show my DS-260 and passport. It was 8:20am, so they checked me in but told me to wait until 8:30 before going through security. Security was straightforward. You have to unlock your phone and open an app. Then everything metal goes into trays and you walk through a mag arch. You then walk up to the embassy building itself and there's a consular reception where you have to show your DS-260 and passport again. They stick a ticket number on your DS-260 and then I was told to take the lift to the first floor and then left and left again to the Immigrant Visa section. When you come out of the ... read complete review
