Fiance said that everyone was really friendly and as many have said there is a really long line but it isn't for K1 visas. You're assigned a ticket number when you go inside and see 1 person to provide paperwork and then a second person for the interview.

Super speedy. Massive queue outside the front but that’s fro DS260. Not clear signage, but DS-160 got the front and the short queue next to king one. In and out in 30 minutes - would’ve been quicker but the finger print scanner stopped working for maybe 10 minutes. I had an 8:30 appointment so that might’ve been some help!

I arrived at the Embassy for 8:20 and was told to wait until 8:30. I was allowed to skip the large queue outside that is for DS-160 and go straight to the front as I had the DS-260.
From entry to giving over my documents it was smooth. I was asked for Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, passport and Police Certificate. I was also asked for my husbands latest tax return which I was not expecting, thankfully however I had printed everything off and bought it all with me just in case.
After I submitted my documents it took nearly 2 hours for them to finally interview me. I believe this may have been staff shortage reasons as it seemed only one person was carrying out the interviews today. The interview was very straight forward and easy, took 5 minutes basically. I was asked how I met my husband, when we got married and where, what his job is. I was then approved on the spot. I hope this helps someone!

- I arrived 30 mins before, at 07.30. The line can be long but they will tell you to cut it at certain points if needed. Have your DS-260 confirmation page ready.
- I spoke to officers at two different booths. The first one involved fingerprints, documents check, questions when I anticipate moving, etc. For me, the documents were: interview & courier confirmation, US-style photo, originals of passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, and police certificates.
- Then a bit of a wait and the next booth is the "interview" but it was just: when/how did you meet, when did you see each other again after the initial meeting, when did you get married, have you been living together since or apart?
- The tone felt very casual and friendly -- *everyone* at the embassy was super friendly.
- Keep an eye on all the screens because it's kind of easy to miss when your number flashes on the main screen. My second booth was actually behind me and thankfully the people... read complete review

Interview took place on 27 January. Entry was quick and painless (remember, if you’re attending for an immigrant visa appointment you can skip the long queue!).
Arrived at 9.30am for 10am appointment. Waited around 40 mins until called up to the window and gave all of my documents. Then sat down again and waited for over 90 mins to be called for the visa interview. Only asked 4 or 5 standard questions and then told I had not brought an original copy of the petitioners divorce decree, so was given a green 221g form and asked to send in the original and upload it to CEAC, which I did the same day. Original document submitted by DX on the following Wednesday, and status changed the next day from “Refused†to “Administrative Processing “ and then to “Issued†on the Friday, so really quick turnaround.
Passport with visa in now in hand and ready to make the move in early April.
For those who are worryin... read complete review
