Initially my wife was told we would need proof of citizenship for our financial sponsor by the first booth(which we did not have)and it made her nervous. During the actual interview they did not ask for this. The interviewer just asked two questions, "how did you meet" and "what do you plan to do once you are in America". She said all of our documents looked in order and complimented us on the organization (they seem to really appreciate this). we were approved Just do not forget to go pay for the shipping of the visa (using your pink slip). My wife forgot to do this and had to go back.

The consulate was relatively easy to find. It cost £18 for a taxi from Victoria Station. There was some unexpected delays, no issues with my case. The non security staff were very pleasant.

The location of the Embassy is in walking distance from the Victoria Station. This was very convenient. There are two lines when entering, it was a little confusing, but once that's worked out it's pretty simple. The waiting times are pretty long however.

My fiance had his appointment at 8 a.m. today and he's approved! The actual interview took all of 1-2 minutes, but he waited for about an hour and a half. They simply asked him about our story/how we met, and then off he went. He should have his visa in 5-10 business days. I'll be going to the UK to spend Christmas with him and his family, and then we'll fly back to the States together to start our new life. Could not be happier.

Really friendly interviewers, took 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. Surprised by the amount of people being interviewed. Was told at the time that I was approved
