On Tuesday 3rd March
I woke up at 3:30am and left at 4:30am to walk to the train station which takes 30 minutes, then I topped up my oyster card got a bus to Stanmore(north London) and got a train to Bond Street on the Jubilee Line which took 30 minutes, next I got the central line to Marble Arch. I was early as it was only 6:30am so I hanged around Oxford Street, I walked to the Embassy by almost 7am, when I got there I saw a queue had already formed. I joined and I counted about 12 people in front of me, not much was happening other than the Embassy people setting up the outdoor desk under a small marque tent. Then after about 20 minutes a man handed out small clear plastic bags to put all your metal things in, I had my house keys, phone, a mini mirror and then a lady came to check everyone's appointment letters, DS160 and passports. I watched the security people set up and some people bring out signs saying what can't be brought into the Embassy and I was reading the ... read complete review

I took the bus 73 from Victoria station to Selfridges and hobbled my way to the embassy (had a knee injury) which was about a 5 minute walk. There was already a queue when I arrived so I joined in. This was probably 7:10.
At about 7:30 embassy staff began to put out signs and ask people what time their appointments were. Eventually a girl asked if there were any immigrant visas. I stepped forward and she signed my interview letter and told me to go stand in a small queue near a Chinese man (hah!) Turned out there were actually 2 lines that fit this description so I ended up in the wrong bloody Chinese man line. The man who was working the wrong queue asked me what time my appointment was and told me to stand in the line to the left of the tent that was set up (this I discovered later was incorrect information). It was a pretty long line so eventually suspecting I'd been jipped I asked the same girl and she apologised and said "I'm sorry, I already signed you in, stand in... read complete review

My interview was at 8:30am but as I had read on here and heard from fellow VJ'ers, I got there just before 7am and was about 4th in the line. Went through security with no problems and my number was called after about 5 minutes. The first gentleman I saw was absolutely lovely. He took my interview letter, 2 photos, courier info and my finger prints. He handed me my chest X-ray and checked over my AOS. He asked me how long we had been married and when I was planning on going to the states. I then sat back down in the waiting room and this time I waited for about 30 minutes. I was then greeted by a sweet lady, who seemed nervous and stutters herself! She had a man also behind her as if she was being watched and I did presume she was new as she asked me a lot more questions than I had anticipated.
I was again asked how long we had been married, where and when we met (very in depth questions, really wanted a lot of information), she asked me about my husbands family/siblings/nieces... read complete review

My appointment was at 9am however I wanted to get there early, so I got a taxi from the Holiday Inn to the embassy at 6.25, I arrived at the embassy at 6.35 and there were already 4 people there.
At 7.30 people came out and put us into 8am and 9am lines, but because I was an immigrant visa I went in straight away, in the line I was asked for my passport, appointment letter, DS-160 and the instructions sheet from paying and then went through security.
When I got into the embassy at 7.38 I was given ticket number 5, I sat down for about an hour until my number was called and went up to a lovely man, he asked for my passport, birth certificate, affidavit of support, proof of visa payment, police certificate and one photo. He then told me to sit down and wait for my number to be called again.
I waited another 20 minutes until my number was called again and went up to a window with an american woman, she asked me: how i met my fiancé, when tha... read complete review

Per Hubby's Texts...
Interview time was 9:00 am. He got there around 7 and was the 2nd person in line. Around 7:30 they started two other lines... one for 8 am appointments and one for immigrant visas, so he hopped into that line. At about 8:04 he was called up for the prescreening part and was greeted by a very happy asian lady who joked quite a bit with him and told him she would expedite his passport if approved. He was only asked to show his passport, courier info and interview letter.
After waiting for about 20-30 minutes his number popped up again and he made his way over to the interview window where he was greeted by a young american woman around 8:35. He said she was very friendly and a bit sassy. She asked him when we met, who the joint sponsor was, and when he planned on moving here and then said "You've been approved!"
He was actually quite shocked at the point, all he managed to say was "that's it?" and she smiled and said yup!... read complete review
