Interview was 19th July and I was refused because the embassy didn't have my medical report yet. I contacted the place I had my medical and they said the medical had been signed off on 18th July, and should be with the embassy today (19th July). After the interview, the case status changed to refused, then the next day (20th July), the status changed to approved.

Super easy and straightforward! There is a long line when you arrive (as others have mentioned), get in the line on the left side to see someone to check your DS-160. They will mark you as a K-1 Visa and you'll head straight through to the security check. Don't be intimidated by the crowded waiting room, as that is for visas and not immigration. When you get to the immigration waiting room it will be like 4 people. They'll take your paperwork and then the longest bit is just waiting your turn for the interview! My fiancé was only asked one question, "How did you meet?" and then was approved on site! They said his passport would be mailed within 1-2 weeks and have a safe flight. We got an email with a tracking number for his passport 2 days later and it should be here tomorrow (so 5 business days total).

Echoing a lot of what people have already reviewed what people have said about the London Embassy.

Really positive experience, getting through the embassy is real easy for immigrant interviews.

First step was handing over my documents. I’d really advise having everything in check ready to go.

Waited about 20 mins for the interview itself, really friendly CO. Didn’t feel like an interview but more of a conversation. Asked a few questions like how we met, how I proposed, what my wife does for work, when was my last visit to the US and how many times we had seen each other over the past year.

I was approved on the spot and documents were handed to back to me. He kept my passport for processing.

Overall a really great experience. You’ll hopefully walk out wondering what you were worried about!

Embassy Appointment June 6th 9am

Sorry it's a bit long but I wanted to be as detailed as possible to quell any nerves of those who still have their interview to do.

7:45 arrived and asked an embassy employee standing out which was the queue to join. It was the long one to the right as you stand looking at the embassy.
2 policemen were standing nearby so asked if they thought I had time to grab a coffee. I was told the queue moved pretty quickly so I’d even have time for a cake as well. javascript:emoticon('')
Went to the coffee shop opposite the embassy and returned to join the queue at 8:15. Again I checked with an embassy employee who was walking along the queue if I was in the right one. There were 2 queue running alongside each other; one by the wall and the longer one alongside that. The correct one was the one furthest from the wall.
Got to the desk outside the embassy by 8:45 and asked for my DS-160 Con... read complete review
