My appointment was for 9am on Friday 20th November 2015.
Going to go for a detailed account of what happened to try and convey the casual nature of the interview (once you're actually inside the embassy) and hopefully help quell some nerves!
I had read that queues started forming early so decided to arrive before 8am to try and get it all over and done with whilst the day was still young. I arrived at 7:45am and the queue was already 40-50 people. I asked around and joined the 8:30 appointment queue (the other was for 8am appointments). There was a woman moving through the queue checking paperwork, after about 20 minutes she was relatively close to me so I asked if it made any difference whether you were there for an immigrant or non-immigrant visa. I wish I had done so earlier because she immediately asked if I was K1 and moved me to the front of the 8am queue when i said I was. Having been 'signed in' i then had to queue for security. After the airport s... read complete review

My interview was at the London US Embassy on the 19th November 2015 at 8:30am.
I had to travel for 2 and a half hours to get to London. First thing I did was to look for a car park. There is a car park near the Grosvenor House and it is called Q-Park. The address is: Park Ln, London W1K 7AN. I had to pay around £22 pounds for 4 hours which wasn't too bad.
I got to London around 7:30am, parked my car and made my way to the Embassy. It took me around 6-10 mins to get to the Embassy by foot. There was already a huge queue of people already waiting outside of the Embassy. I went up to one of the security guards that were letting people in and I asked him if I still have to line up (I heard that I didn't have to since I was going to have a K1 visa interview). He still told me to go and line up so I did.
One lady started rearranging the queue into three separate ones and then she asked everybody if anyone is going for immigration visa interview. I followed her along ... read complete review

Just wanted to give a quick review for all those who are yet to go for their interview as I read reviews myself before-hand and it certainly prepared me for what to expect on the day. (Had my interview 11-17-2015 and got approved).
I would consider myself a very big worrier and I quadruple check everything etc.. etc.. HOWEVER after worrying myself sick the day of/before I can honestly say it wasn't necessary at all.
I arrived at 8:20am (app time of 9:00am) at the front of the embassy to be greeted with 3 fairly sizeable lines (around 30 people in each of the bigger ones). I joined the smaller of the 3 as it had a board stating it was the line for all visas. I waited maybe a minute and a lady walked up and down our line asking if anyone was on an immigration visa. I stated I was for a K1 visa and she took me to the front of the queue (I could see to the annoyance of others!). She then checked my appointment letter and directed me over to a security guard. Bit like ... read complete review

Our interviews were for 9am on Thursday 12th November. I had an appointment for myself and my two children. I had used the contact form for the Embassy to request permission to take my youngest child, too, who is a US Citizen by birthright so does not need a visa, but I had no other childcare for her. They emailed back within 24 hours saying that was fine and I printed the email in case I had any problems but everyone there was great!
As the other reviews have said, it's really nothing to worry about. I was only asked for the paperwork listed on my P4 letter, and one photocopy of my daughter's birth certificate that was missing from what NVC had sent over to them for some reason.
We arrived at 8:45am (I didn't arrive too early because of having 3 kids to keep occupied outside in the rain) and were sent straight to the front of the queue to be marked off the list. Once inside, we waited about 45 minutes and were called to the first window where the lady had all the origin... read complete review
