Visa Interview - London Embassy April 21st 2016
I got to the Embassy at about 11.45am and sat in Grosvenor Gardens for a little while, I met up with Laura (Laurajc1984) off these forums, we met at 12pm outside the embassy and there was no queues we were the first there!
We waited a short while and a Man and Woman came out the embassy with a list with names on, they checked our letters and passports and crossed our names of the sheet I went to the security hut first, its just like being at the airport security you then walk around the side of the embassy outside and then come to some steps on your left hand side you walk up to these and through the main doors.
There I met a nice lady who gave me my number (I-902) and you then walk up some stairs on the left into the waiting room, it wasn't as big as I imagined and it was very quiet, there was about 10 people there by the time I had my interview and the police officers outside had said on Tuesday th... read complete review

Provided by my fiancé :D
My interview was at 1300 today, but I have something of a habit of getting lost, even in a city where I've lived most of my life, so I decided to get there as early as possible. I'm one of the lucky ones who works in central London, so a quick tube ride and short walk later, I was at the embassy by 12.15.
There wasn't a queue at the entrance, just a gentleman with a rather complex question for the gate guard, who stopped him mid-flow and asked if there was anyone here on an immigrant visa, to which I put up my hand. And, naturally, received a bit of a filthy look from the chap in question, but that can't be helped.
The guard checked my passport and appointment letter, then sent me through to the security hut where you enter and exit the embassy's grounds. This was airport-style security, and after a brief moment where I forgot to remove my iPad from my bag, I was through. The gentleman at the front desk attached a n... read complete review

Had my interview 22nd March at 1pm, very quick and very smooth.
Arrived half and hour before to join a very short queue outside the security booth. Had my name checked and ticked off a list and had my interview letter checked before going through airport style security. Once inside I was greeted by a very friendly man who looked at my appointment letter and passport again before giving me a number. I was sitting in the waiting hall from around ten minutes to 1 and shortly after 1pm was called to the first window. A lady asked me for my birth certificate, police certificate, affidavit of support and employment letter. She made small talk about how it was my birthday later that week and was very nice. Took my finger prints from both hands and asked me to sit back down and wait for my number to be called again.
I thought at this point I was in for the long haul as I knew the longer wait would be before the interview but I had literally been sitting for 5 mins... read complete review

Interview today at 1pm. I arrived around 12.35pm to a short line. I was through security and in the waiting hall by 12.50pm. I waited until just after 1.20pm when I was called to the first window for my documents. Sat back down again at 1.30pm for just TWO minutes before being called to another window. Swore oath. Answered four very basic questions and that was it. APPROVED!! I was outside again at 1.38pm.
I was there for LESS than one hour. Everyone very friendly and helpful. I've had visits to the Post Office that have been more complicated!
