I just had the interview in London. The security, fingerprinting and document submission took longer than the interview itself. The lady who took my documents i.e. appointment letter, passport, birth certificate, police clearances, complimented me on my youthful looks :-) The interview was scheduled for 12pm and I was allowed to arrive half an hour early. My ticket was finally called for the interview at about 3pm, the last ticket of the day!
The officer was a very friendly lady with an American accent who complimented me on my yellow leather jacket, necklace and nails :-) She then asked the following questions after taking my fingerprints again and asking me to take an oath:
1. Where was I born and where was my fiancé born?
2. How did we meet?
3. When did it progress from friendship to romance?
4. How many times have we seen each other since the relationship turned romantic?... read complete review

Great experience at the US Embassy in London.
Arrived at 11.15am for my 12pm appointment, and went in straight away, was waiting for about 45 mins until I handed in my documentation to a very nice British gentleman. Waited another 45 minutes or so and was called to another window. Spoke to a really nice American gentleman who asked, how did you meet etc.
As many other reviews, just be yourself, I did honestly feel like I was just talking to an acquaintance or a friend about my fiance as I have 100s of times and I'm sure you have, took about 5 minutes and then approved!

Appointment was 12 o clock. Queued outside at 11am and got let straight through security in 5 minutes even tho immigration visas werent starting yet. Once inside we waited for about 40 minutes until they started I numbers. We went to a window and spent 10 minutes handing over paperwork and taking fingerprints. Guy was really nice and friendly although he almost charged me again for the visas even though I'd paid lol. Sat back down for another 10 minutes and then went and had a 10 minute chat with another really friendly woman who then said "Congratulations you're all approved. Time to book your flights." Felt like just having a chat with a co worked telling them what my plans were. Asked what my fiancee did, what I did, how old her daughter was, how we met and if we'd booked the wedding. Said our plans sounded lovely. All in all was very straight forward and easy. Best advice is just be yourself.
