Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview was scheduled for 10.30am. I arrived 9am with my mom and went to local theatre cafe (World Heart Beat). Embassy is pretty close to Nine Elms but lots of construction in area can throw you off. Cafe took small bags for a donation of £6 but think across the road would take larger items.

Left my mom at cafe at 10am and walked to join queue. I asked at blue tent but they directed me to red tent (visa service). They wanted DS-160 and passport. Guard at door wanted to see DS-160 and asked me to open app on phone to show it wasn't a bomb. After that was a little airport security bit for bags and myself. Then you go through a courtyard to next queue area. There was no guidance here, the visa service queue was long while citizen service wasn't. I went to citizen queue based on reviews here, no idea if it was right but lady accepted my DS-160.

She added a sticker with a number and directions. The directions are go up elevator to first floor, turn left,... read complete review

Husband had a very straightforward experience with his interview. They did not let me (his wife) into the building and I had to sit outside and wait. Appointment was at 9am and he had his approval by 11am.

Review Topic: EB-1 Visa

Had my EB-1A interview at the US Consulate in London on Friday the 3rd of Nov at 8am.

I showed up at 7:20am and there was a long queue. I spoke to a lady who was guiding people. I told her I was there for my green card interview and she told me to go to the front of the queue. The lady at the desk outside security checked my Passport and appointment letter then told me to go to the front of security.

Security was super fast as they were just opening.

Once through security you enter the courtyard and the next building is signposted. There's two queues to join, US Citizen/Immigration which is blue and visas which is red. I joined the blue queue which was empty and again, was seen first. The lady at the desk took my passport and DS260. Affixed labels to it and told me to go up the elevators, take a left, then another left and to sit at the booths were my number will appears. It's all relatively straightforward and well signposted.

Had my CR-1 interview at the US Consulate in London today.

As I walked upto the Visa entry point there was a long queue. I spoke to a nice lady who was guiding people. Told her I was there for a CR-1 immigrant interview, DS260. She said, 'follow me' and guided me to the front of the queue. The lady at the desk outside security checked my Passport and appointment letter then told me to go to the front of security.

Security was basically mini airport style. Was hard to tell whether they were just rude or trying to be very direct.

I joined the blue queue which was empty and again, was seen first. The guy at the desk took my passport and DS260. Affixed labels to.
