IR5 and CR1
I petitioned for both my mother and husband. 2 separate petitions so they had 2 separate appointment times, luckily only 30 minutes apart. They both had copies of everything so they didn't have to rely on the other persons stuff.
We arrived about 2 hours early to the embassy knowing we would go for food beforehand. We just wanted to be in the area and see everything that was happening. There were so many people waiting at the blue visa tent to get in, think I saw 3 different lines! We went off for food and came back 30 mins before my husbands appointments time. And everyone was gone! I highly recommend trying for an afternoon appointment, our times were 12 and 12:30. We went straight to the tent and there was a really nice lady there who said to come back 15 minutes before our appointment, and she was nice enough to allow my mother to come in early so we could all go in together.
I think the hardest part of the whole thing was the next part, getting me... read complete review

Let me in around 50 mins before interview - apparently they are just wanting to have people hurry in and out now.
Only got asked 1 question "where are you going to live".
I had a mini panic because they skipped my number on the screen but turns out the screen wasn't working!! - don't be alarmed they will call someone who will call your number out
Approved!

The K1 interview went great. Documents were taken at the first window instantly and 20 minutes later I got my main interview. Just a few brief questions then they said I was approved, I was dizzy, excited and almost fainted. I'm a pretty anxious person but it really wasn't as bad as I had worked it up to being in my head. The 1pm Wednesday slot was a good idea, seemed not to have many people there (3 people ahead of me in line and no one else waiting)
It's still not really sunk in yet! I'd talked myself into worrying about every little detail but it turns out there was no need. "I'm going to approve your visa, it will arrive in the next 14 days" is probably the second best thing I've heard in my life; the first being when my lovely fiancee said yes to marrying me!

I had my interview today and I am APPROVED!!!Â
The whole process was so quick - my interview time was 11.30 and 45 minutes later at 12.15 my interviewer told me I was approved. Such a great feeling!
Below is a summary of my experience for all those going through the interview process in London:
- I arrived at 11.15 and proceeded to the blue tent outside the Embassy and showed my passport and confirmation page from when I booked my interview (the lady at the tent was extremely friendly)
- Next I went through security and proceeded through the main entrance and was told to take a seat
- After a little wait, my number was called on the screen and I proceeded to the window. I was asked to hand over the following documents:
+Passport
+Confirmation page (the lady at the blue tent had stuck some stickers on there which they needed)
+Passport photo
+Birth certificate
+Police certifi... read complete review

Arrived at embassy about 10 minutes before the interview, completed security check then waited.
I waited longer than the actual interview took, in and out in 5 minutes with an approval after about 5 questions.
