The interview 16.Mar.2016

Well, as the others said regarding the first and second windows, same questions, security check.. etc.

In general, all the staff are nice in the embassy, including the security guards.

Now golden call for the main interview in window 12

A young gentleman, he was so polite and with welcome face.

The questions, which all of you are waiting for

- how long you have been here in UAE
- what year you got married
- where do you live
- what do you work
- where your wife live ?

All the time he was writing data in computer with smile, and looking in the documents as well.

In the end he gave me back my passport with blue sheet.
he marked 2 things and asked me to provide it to complete the documents
-- the AOS requires proof of US citizen or permanent residence, my wife sister was our sponsor, and she ... read complete review

My fiance went with a packet I put together for him which included I-134 forms and supporting documents, plus evidence of our relationship such as pictures and receipts. The appointment was scheduled for 8:00 am at the embassy in Abu Dhabi. It seems all visa appointments are scheduled at this time. He arrived early, at around 7:00 am so he could get in line and take a number. The embassy officials sorted everyone into two lines: immigrant visa and non-immigrant visa. He was 10th in his line (immigrant visa for K1 fiance). When they let them in at 8, he waited awhile (about 2 hours I think). Then they called him, and he gave them his documents. They took his fingerprints and then told him to sit and wait again. He waited about 30 more minutes and was called for the interview with the agent. He said it lasted about 10 minutes. The woman asked about our relationship like how we met, when we saw each other, if we met each other's families, what our families thought of us. She also asked ab... read complete review

My interview was smooth and easy. I arrived at the US embassy in Abu Dhabi around 6:30 and I was second in line. The embassy opened around 7:30 so we had to wait for a little bit. The guards was nice and accomodating to the applicants although there was this african-american lady that was taking my finger print and she was a bit unpleasant. But the rest of the staff was nice especially the CO. He just asked me simple questions like how and where did I met my fiancé. Basic questions that anyone can answer if you've been with your fiancé for awhile and you know him/her well. I was out in the embassy by 9:30. I have to comeback next Monday to pick up my visa.

Very simple interview process (perhaps 3 or 4 very basic questions). The waiting though...almost 4 hours in total! Bring a book or a magazine...!

The interview went very well and The consular was so nice to me. She only asked me few questions and wish me luck for my marriage and congratulate me.
However, since my affidavit of support are only scanned copies, she requested me to go back soon to submit the originals for visa stamping.
