We came at the embassy at 7am. Appointment time is 8am. 7:30am embassy guard started directing applicants to the window to show your appointment letter, passport, and ds 160 confirmation page.

Then she went inside and i waited outside. She told me she went inside and somebody collected her documents such as police clearance, medical, affidavit of support then on to finger printing.

She then went to a room and the male consular officer was there. She was asked 3 questions: what do you do?, how long have you been in UAE?, and how did you meet your fiance? She answered all the questions appropriately then CO said ok you are approved, congratulations! You can pick up your passport and visa at empost in 2-3 days.

The consul did not even ask for any additional proof of bonafide relationship like recent whatsapp messages, skype, pics, etc.. I was surprised because all they had was the stuff I sent with the original k1 application.

My interview took place in the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi on 1st march.

I arrived at 7.30am (Scheduled time 8.00am) and there were about 12-15 people already in a queue outside. Within 5 minutes they began to let people in. First step before entering is to go to a window as directed by the security guard where you will be asked for your appointment letter and passport. Once this is checked you enter the security area, Here you will hand over your phone and receive a ticket to collect it when you are finished. As noted by others no bags are allowed past this point.

From here you walk to the next building and are given a ticket number and asked to wait. I got number 613 (starting at 600). This series is for Immigrant visas. Shortly after Non-Immigrant visa applicants began arriving and got tickets starting at 300.

Everyone waits for there number to be called for the first step. There are display screens showing the number and the desk number to g... read complete review

My husband's interview was a miracle. He was first to arrive at 5:30, and the gate opens at 7am. They were ushered in, his DS261 and passport was collected at the first room. He didn't bring a copy of his EMPOST registration confirmation. You have to complete it online to choose the post office you want your visa packet to be sent to. Print out the sheet when you done. My husband completed it online but forgot to print it out. As long as you register online that will do.

He said the people were amazing. They noticed he was taking time in finding required documents in his packet so they took his packet from him, sorted out the documents they needed and the ones they didn't. 😂😂

His interview turned to a chat when he told them he works at one of the biggest hotel in AD. The CO looked up at him with a smile and they got talking about the hotel and how the CO wants to go sometime with his colleagues. My husband even recommended what they shoul... read complete review
