I went to the interview with my fiancee in HK on June 23rd. We got there before 8:30am and they let us in and said get in earlier so you can leave earlier. The interview is held on the 2nd floor. When we got up there and the lady told us that once we have the paperwork arranged based on the sheet that they have given us, go up and submit it to a available window. The interview is not held in a private room but one that have booths, just like a bank. So you will be able to hear others and vice versa.

So anyways, we arranged the paperwork per the instruction and walked up to a booth. The lady asked which one of us was the visa applicant. I told her it was my fiancee. Then she asked me how I was able to come up with her. I told her that the guards outside allowed me to accompany her. Then she said that she didn\'t think that I was allow to be there. But nevertheless, she didn\'t tell me to leave. She said go back and sit down and if necessary, she will call me up for the in... read complete review

DCF for a CR-1 Visa (Spouse a UK Citizen)

Our interview was scheduled for 8:30AM, June 19th, 2009. The following is a timeline of our visit.

7:30 Arrived at the consulate. Waited in line outside, 3 other people ahead of us in line.

8:00 Opened gates. Guards asked to see interview letter and checked our bags. Asked to stand in line off to the side. The people ahead of us were there for other visas, so we were first in line for an interview. As we waited, about 7 other parties joined our queue.

8:15 Let in the doors, went through security checks. We didn't bring cell phones, but they must be checked at the door if you have one. We were given a list of the order in which to organize our documents for submission (same as list in packet 4). Then went upstairs to the Immigrant Visa Unit.

8:30 Desks were opened and consular officers made an announcement. The waiting room had filled up with other parties by this time. A... read complete review

Base on my fiancee, Hiu Ha chan, when she was at the interview.

There were so many people upon arrival, Tuesday May 27. I arrived about 15 minutes before doors was open, I even had time for breakfast at McDonald. Before entering, each person was inspected for harmful materials, I was lucky enough to bypass because a security randomly told me I can enter. Upon entering, I was told to hand in any cellphones or any communications electronics. (Even my NDS was handed in.)

First to be in line, thanks to that security.. Even though my husband had everything neatly binded in folders, the officers told me to unbind everything. It was not a delightful sight because there were many papers that was about to separate. The first interview was with a cantonese officers. It was a she, she was not too friendly at first because of the binding in the folders.
She asked many questions: (seen below) All answers was answered in Cantonese.

What is you... read complete review
