7:35a Arrived at Embassy
8:00a Allowed inside Embassy
8:15a Allowed in 1st floor, the interview room (with 4 counters)
8:30a Officer announced to submit supporting documents
9:30a Fingerprint
10:00a Interview with the officer for about 20 mins
10:30a Interview with the consulate for about 2-3 mins
and was told visa approved
10:35a Told to pay $25 postage
10:55a Left the embassy
Thanks everyone for all the help. Not a difficult process but certainly lots of details.

last January 20,2010 ,a day of my interview, i got there as early as 6:00 Am, to be in the line to enter the USConsulate General Hk ,my interview time is 8:00 Am , It was Winter Day , it was Cold Outside while waiting on the line outside the Embassy, they just let us in by 7:30 Am , and direceted where rooms & windows my Category to wait to the IO, At Exactly 8:00 Am my name called, they got all my Papers ,original & Copy, then got back to my sit, waited for another call, that takes 30 minutes, then i was called again to approch the IO in the windows been interviewed review all what i put in my Application, Asked all personal information about my US Fiance(e) after conversation back again on my sit,in between the American Lady ,called me in other window to do my My Finger Printing ,then after that, I waited for 3 hours on my sit , but i Stay Calm ,waited patiently to be called again , At 11:30 the Chinese lady IO finally called me again, to be in Interview room for final interview ... read complete review

It was a long haul at the consulate. My husband's interview is scheduled at 8:30am on Monday June 7. We arrived there at 8:15am. At the door, there are 2 guards checking people's name. We gave them hubby's interview letter and his Hong Kong ID. The checked his name off and ask who is having the interview. We said my husband. The female guard would not let me inside. She said that their policy is only allowed the person to be interviewed inside the consulate. I said that I asked the embassy before and they confirmed that I can wait with my hubby inside the embassy at the waiting room because I'm a US citizen. But the lady would not let me in. She direct me to an open area and said to wait there. Because we don't want our hubby to be late for his interview, we didn't protest at that time. So my hubby went inside.

 I just want to share to all the members what i experience on my interview.At 6:00 i'am on my way to the embassy by a taxi coz i want to be there as early i can coz its raining that day and i want to be relax while i'am waiting for 8:30 so i stay first in mcdonald to have my breakfast then at 7:30 i ride ataxi again to the embassy its just near but i'am carrying alot of documents for my interview i'am on the gate 45 mins before my interview there is one lady who is ahead coz i cnt walk that fast.then the gate open my bags are being check but still i'am the first on the line.then ask me to go up left the phones i have so when i'am on the first floor just few people we are in the room but i'am just the only filipina there then we are ask to submit all the documents then after 15 mins a guy call me and he start interviewing me he is friendly and just fine for me but he start harassing me asking me about my fiancee how old... read complete review

My interview was scheuled in the afternoon and I am the only person who apply the fiance visa during that afternoon. The lady told me I should be having the interview during the morning time but somehow they put me in the afternoon. Anyway, when I get there, a lady in the counter asked me to submit all the relvant documents. I gave her a bunch of financial support doc (bank record of my fiance/ mortgage doc of the house/ the invoice of the car, etc.) as well as our relationship proof (a photo album with around 10 photos across the past 3 years we have taken + the phone bills for the past 2 years). I waited for another half hour and then the lady show up again. She asked me more than 10 questions about my fiance and I, questions included:
How do we met each other?
Did I ever met his family?
Did he ever met my family?
When is the last time we met?
What is our plan for wedding?
When do I intend going to the states and get marry?
