As suggested, we arrived early for our interview. There were still about 50 or 60 people in front of us. The consulate started processing the line right at 6:45. We had no problem getting into the building. Security is just a simple metal detector. I did see someone rejected for having a cell phone, so just don’t bring anything on the ‘cannot bring list’ and you shouldn't have any issues. After getting inside, we set for a short time and then were called to window 18. They went through our paper work and found that we had not filled out form 156. They gave us a temp pass to go fill it out and warned us about the people outside that do not work for the consulate. We were staying at the Marriott, so we just went back there and filled out the form, printed it and went back to the consulate. No problems, the temp pass got use right back into the building. We went right back to window 18, finished there and went to window 14 to pay the additional 80 dollars, back to window ... read complete review

Hello my dear VJ family. I am pleased to announce that our visa was approved. We got to the consulate at 6:20 am, the appointment was for 6:45, and there was already a big line. One of the consulate employees was looking at the appointment letters and giving out numbers (two paper tickets) and stapling them to the letter. Ours was number 60. Then right before going in another employee took the letter with one of the numbers and she gave us only a little piece of paper with our number. We got in around 7:10 after going through security. By the way, make sure to keep an eye on your stuff going through security because it is a mess, for a few minutes we lost our folder FULL with our documents.

Inside it is a big room with benches facing the windows, which resemble bank teller windows with huge bullet proof glass. The cafeteria is in the same room so if you have to buy something to eat you don\'t have to worry about missing your turn. We ate a heavy breakfast so we were not ... read complete review

We arrived at the consulate very early to find that there was already a line. We didn't have much trouble following the directions after getting in. We were issued a number at the door and waited for our name to be called to a window after entering. We went to window 16 first where they collected our DS-230, DS-156 and Affidavit of Support (in our case, the I-864 was requested in our packet). It was there we had to pay the $80 fee and were asked for our Banco Popular receipts. I saw the green piece of paper (issued to us to pay Domex) like everyone discusses here, but I'd like to hear from those who have been denied to see if they also saw the paper. Then, we were called to Window 15 for fingerprinting. After that, we were called to Window 21 where very few questions were asked and we were issued two pieces of green paper, the Domex tracking slip (3x3 in size) and another (letter sized) that said everything was ok but that the Embassy had not yet received our medical results fro... read complete review
